The role: 

 

The core objective of this role is to deliver excellent work for our client TCCC (Coca Cola) as part of the European team to develop compelling entertainment partnerships to form part of our winder strategy & planning across the year.

 

The Entertainment Partnerships Director will serve as a senior member of the EU TCCC team but as part of the Creative Systems Global team. The client work will be 100% retained on TCCC pan regionally and

 

The ideal candidate for this role must have a deep understanding and perspective on Entertainment, with a good level of contacts at some of the major players in these fields, or at least a good understanding of how they operate both creatively and commercially. Alongside this, the candidate will also need a strong understanding and extensive experience of media, publisher and platform partnerships in addition to partnering with entertainment companies with good business acumen. Brand to brand partnerships will also form part of the role, with a view to bringing together WPP clients co co-create, co-market or co-innovate.

 

Are you able to articulate why a music partnership differs from a tv or sport partnership? Or the different outcomes of an ad funded program vs a sponsorship or co-created branded video? Are you also able to manage property, brand, and inter-agency relations at once in a commanding and calm manner? Are you able to develop creative ideas, pitch enthusiastically, close and negotiate complex and high value deals? Do you have the gravitas to present to senior clients and stakeholders, sometimes outside of your direct responsibilities?

The role won’t mean working alone, you will have support from senior department leaders, peers, team support and a multitude of stakeholders in Mediacom across planning, data, investment, commercial, legal and more.

The candidate would be excited by our unique model and share in Mediacom’s passion to work within the ever-evolving media landscape, while delivering integrated cross-channel solutions, specifically seeking to leverage entertainment partnerships to elevate consumer engagement and brand relevance.

 

The detail:

 

As an Entertainment Partnerships Director, your responsibilities include:

 

  • Build & maintain senior level internal and external relationships
  • Answering numerous brief and compiling pitches with rationale and accurate costings for TCCC
  • Working into the wider EU Hub team from strategy stage to ensure Entertainment is strategically sold into the comms plan
  • Build a strong network of partners for TCCC and tap into the JVC deals we have in place to maximise revenue and opportunities
  • Directly lead the Entertainment business for TCCC in Europe and ensuring the right teams are put in place for seamless delivery
  • Reporting into the Global Director of Entertainment you will be responsible to provide regular client and program updates, while also potentially managing more junior team members
  • Manage and inspire direct and indirect reports, providing mentoring and coaching to foster personal development
  • Achieve revenue and profitability targets as defined and agreed to with executive management 
  • Support MediaCom client leaders with information, data, ideas, POVs, etc. in and around the S&E Partnership space
  • Drive integrated thinking and solutions for clients in partnership with other disciplines
  • Maintain and build industry relationships and contacts
  • Participate in Creative System creative brainstorming sessions and MediaCom client briefs

Qualifications and Experience:

 

  • Significant and relevant Entertainment experience, with an emphasis on entertainment partnerships
  • Created, negotiated, and managed multiple entertainment & IP partnerships
  • A good level of understanding of strategic and creative selling
  • Strong understanding of Media and Content channels
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding client work, that achieves client goals, wins a place on the agency’s show reel and garners industry-wide recognition
  • Extensive account management background at a senior level, understanding how to develop organic & new business growth
  • Deep negotiation experience across multitude of property-types, inclusive of driving final long form agreements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication & presentation skills
  • Strong industry contacts
