Job Overview

Working within the Media Engineering team to ensure the efficient implementation of ad-serving, web analytics, audience tracking and optimisation technologies for digital advertising. You will ensure efficient data and reporting is delivered to multiple clients and internal stakeholders, understanding all areas covered by Media Engineering. You will also be responsible for supporting internal and client teams with troubleshooting issues and being on top of future technologies and solutions.

Responsibilities of the role

  • To ensure efficient implementation of ad serving, web analytics and other optimisation technologies in the execution of digital advertising.
  • To be responsible for the implementing of campaigns in Google Campaign Manager, Flashtalking or any other named 3rd party ad-server.
  • To be able to test and install publisher pixels & load creative according to specifications.
  • To ensure efficient implementation of the automation systems and programs across multiple clients.
  • To be responsible for the automation and maintenance of key clients reporting processes.
  • To keep up to date with the tools and systems within the team and apply any improvements/new features to improve client reporting.
  • To be able to test new software and evaluate if it should be used.
  • To assist client teams with troubleshooting and be able to advise on basic functions of key software programmes.
  • To be able to invent, test and implement with new processes to improve client reporting.
  • To be able to manage workload in the Shared Inbox ensuring all stakeholders are informed and clear on what is being delivered.
  • To support audience implementation function which includes creating tagging strategies to follow consumer journeys across client's website, building audiences from 1st, 2nd or 3rd party data sources or also generating insights to answer planning briefs.
  • Willingness to learn to operate audience platforms that are used by our clients.
  • Responsibility for developing relationships with our internal account teams.
  • Can present information effectively either via conference call, email, or face to face.
  • Understands and demonstrates collaborative team working and citizenship.
  • Engage with efforts to combat the changes in the digital landscape, such as the demise of the cookie or complying with consent mechanisms put in place for user data security.

What will you need?

  • At least 12 months ad ops or trafficking experience in a similar role or at least 12 months experience in Data Analysis/Engineering or a similar role.
  • Basic knowledge of web technologies including HTML, JavaScript, and Flash.
  • An aptitude and liking for technology.
  • Strong problem solver who is always keen to find a “better way”.
  • A self-starter with a “can-do” attitude
  • Be able to see a problem from several different perspectives and reconcile conflicting requirements to find a ‘best fit’ option.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Great customer service
  • Able to develop relationships with internal team members.
  • Desire to learn and be part of a dynamic growing team.
  • Keen eye for finding where efficiencies can be made.
  • Preferred but not essential a degree or similar qualification in Maths, statistics, economics, or any scientific/numerically related subject or similarly in Computer Science.
  • Detailed Excel knowledge.
  • Knowledge of business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI/Tableau) would be beneficial.
  • Basic SQL
  • An interest in Big Data (within media, or outside media)
  • An aptitude and liking for technology.
  • Analytical approach to problem solving.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to multi – task, prioritise and manage expectations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Keen eye for finding where efficiencies can be made.
  • Commercial awareness and understanding
