The Team: 

 

Mediacom Sport & Entertainment is an integrated partnerships and brand engagement division of MediaCom. Our aim is to ensure our client’s partnership activities are impactful, accountable and aligned with their wider communications objectives to drive maximum success and efficiency from sponsorship as a key component of the communication system. Being part of the world’s leading integrated communication agency, the division combines the most comprehensive consumer and brand insight with intrinsic knowledge of all channels where sponsorship is executed to identify, secure, and develop cultural partnerships that deliver long lasting brand impact.

 

MediaCom S&E is a specialist team that sits within the Creative Systems division of MediaCom. The division’s primary focus is to provide solutions, services and consultancy for clients that delivers relevance across their partnerships and wider marketing activity. We ensure that all activities and campaigns are successful across the 3 pillars of platform, personal and cultural relevance and activated through an integrated approach across a number of disciplines including sports & entertainment, gaming, Branded entertainment, influencer marketing, SEO, DCO, content and creative.

 

We work closely with the wider MediaCom business and client teams to deliver full-service media, content and partnership solutions that create relevancy through culture for clients, linked to their brand and business objectives.

 

The Role: 

 

As an Account Manager, you are responsible for having a deep understanding of our client’s business and challenges and have the ability to efficiently manage multiple projects, relationships and stakeholders at the same time. You need to have a passion for sport and entertainment and an informed understanding of sports industry as a whole across multiple channels.

 

You will work with the broader MediaCom Creative Systems team and client teams to unearth & develop business challenges into solutions that will not only drive your client’s business forward but also offers commercial opportunity for MediaCom. You will be curious, passionate, enthusiastic and ultimately indispensable to the client and their business.

 

You will ensure that the output from the team is of consistent high quality, seamlessly translates strategic approach from end to end and that all deadlines are met.

 

The role will focus on our key MediaCom Sport & Ents and will require the individual to:

 

  • Drive our key client partnerships, integrated marketing & communication activities across all channels – taking control and leading all activity to ensure they exceed their brand ambitions and business objectives.

 

  • Provide partnership (and on occasion gaming) expertise to Mediacom’s UK and global clients such as:
    • Day to day management and support of retained clients, delivery of partnership strategy and navigation of potential routes, opportunities and platforms in the cultural space (sport, music, entertainment etc)
    • Identification and support for partnership opportunities to exceed client brand and business objectives – either traditional IP partnerships, media or gaming (publishers, games, platforms)
    • Execution of partnership activity, activation plans and specific campaign deliverables – stakeholder management, planning, delivery and co-ordination
    • Client support and liaison - management and delivery of critical actions to support client’s partnership requirements & deliverables. Best-in-class consultancy & advice to clients to support their objectives and priorities
    • 3rd party liaison where necessary with stakeholders involved in partnerships

 

  • The role will involve supporting business generation and new biz conversations and meetings and any incoming requests or client briefs. This will involve working with and guiding multiple internal and external stakeholders to deliver best in class creative, strategy and activation for brands involved across the sport & entertainment sectors. Key requirements:
    • Creation and presentation of proposals for prospective clients
    • Development of best-in-class partnership and activation ideas for client responses
    • Response to briefs for specific partnership campaigns
    • Strategic consultancy for client teams to enable
    • Implementation of measurement & evaluation solutions for client responses

 

The role will also entail a number of wider elements:

  • Liaison with wider Creative Systems & MediaCom team members to provide integrated solutions to clients – including ideation and development around content plans, creative executions, media partnership briefing etc.

 

  • Research & Assessment for specific clients – either via MediaCom Tools (BrandIndex / GWI / YouGov etc) or desktop research to support client activities

 

Additional requests may be required from time to time to support the overall function of the Sports & Ents or MediaCom Play teams (the latter being our specialist gaming division)

 

Skills, Behaviours and experience required:

 

  • Deep understanding of our client’s businesses – informed view of their challenges, objectives, priorities, KPIs & competitors – and how MediaCom can help deliver solutions to these via integrated cultural partnerships
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration and relationship building – become an extension of our client’s marketing & partnerships team as a trusted advisor hungry to deliver success for their business aware of the components captured in client contracts - KPIs, fees, resourcing etc. Build relationships with colleagues and wider account teams
  • Ability to leverage expertise of wider agency and Creative Systems team beyond Sports & Ents divison – bringing additional knowledge and stimulus into the mix, crafting integrated solutions based on insight & analytics
  • Innovation & Creativity – creation of new, fresh thinking and ideas, cutting edge approaches and opportunities to ensure client’s & our business stands out and creates fame
  • Personal & Professional – multi-tasking and delivering on multiple projects at the same time, managing the project workflow to ensure that timelines are adhered to and that the output from the team is consistently of high quality

 

Presentation & Reporting skills – familiar and comfortable with crafting & delivering inspirational & creative presentations to demonstrate value of opportunities to various stakeholders
