About the role/Team

 

This Global Investment Executive role is key in supporting the Partnerships Associate Director in linking Global Strategy and Account teams with and media partners (including proprietary media partners), with the aim of delivering content partnership excellence. A key part of this role will be in bridging partnership resource gaps in teams to ensure we are able to activate and deliver strategic partnerships across priority partners within our key global client groups.

Objectives of the Role: 

 

This person will be expected to support and facilitate conversations across our key global client groups (e.g. The Coca-Cola Company, Uber, Google and Mars), on best in class partnership best practice, planning strategy and delivery – including bringing relevant opportunities to MediaCom teams from our proprietary partners. This role will require an understanding of how media partnerships are briefed and executed, experience in managing projects from start to finish, and good attention to detail.

Key Areas of Responsibility and Accountability:

 

1 Strategic and Leadership Skills

  • Support the Partnership Associate Director and wider Global MediaCom Strategy and Account teams, delivering innovative content and media-first partnership ideas to the client teams
  • Build a strong understanding of our proprietary media partners and their offerings within internal teams, to identify opportunities for long term partnership across our Global client base
  • Leverage relationships within the agency and group to better understand key client challenges and growth opportunities, and be an available resource to support client leads where partnerships are being explored with clients

 

2.  Client Account Management

  • Demonstrate an ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, global media vendors, proprietary media opcos and internal strategy teams (such as client planning, and Creative Systems teams)
  • Support Partnership Associate Directors with product opco JBP management, and client investment tracking

 

3.  Operating and Technical Requirements

  • Present confidently, to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Understand and review partnership media proposals, challenging vendors on delivery and planning approach to ensure strong client outcomes
  • Work closely with key client teams to understand their annual strategy, and client challenges to deliver best in class partnership proposals that meet client objectives
  • Support in ensuring strong central output across client groups and ensure delivery of gold standard communication solutions, and execution.
  • Build relationships with client teams, acting as an external consultant support when new briefs are received, and work with them to media partnership responses with considered best in class negotiation and implementation. 
  • Liaising with client planning & buying teams, to support in provision of impactful content partnership opportunities that elevate client businesses at a Global level. Support in the creation of client presentations & media plans to rationalise recommendations
  • Develop a full understanding of in all areas of the MediaCom suite of products and services, in order to speak confidently with clients about them, ultimately increasing client adoption
  • Ensure the most relevant media partners are briefed, in line with MediaCom’s defined partner criteria, with the correct objectives and success metrics in place
  • Analyse partner responses, feedback and augment with media partner, to best meet client needs – always ensuring best practice implementation – including brand safety, sustainability and diversity objectives are met
  • Deliver best in class partnership executions and co-branded content
  • Ensure all partnership activity is cost efficient and value in line with MediaCom’s high expectations, as well as previous, comparable negotiations
  • Ensure optimal measurement and reporting frameworks are in place to analyse and measure campaign appropriately
  • Manage, as part of day to day responsibilitie,s the interactive proprietary media briefing interface between the client account teams and the proprietary product opcos
  • Support in the ongoing development of best-in-class partnership case studies to showcase global partnership successes

 

4.   People/Team Management

  • Develop relationships with key media vendors, as well as internal teams to increase visibility of Partnership and proprietary media team capabilities and opportunities
  • Build relationships proprietary media opcos and internal stakeholder teams

 

5.New business

  • Provide support to new business pitches as required.
