The Role: 

 

 

This role is for a communications planning manager focused on the Pet Nutrition segment in the Blueprint (BP) markets of UK, Germany, France and Poland. The core focus of this role is to support in the development of central annual communication strategies & campaigns for our brands.

 

In this role you will:

 

Be a core team member in the development of annual communications planning agenda for your brands along with managing the relationship with the Mars clients – regional marketing teams and their Pet Parent Connection CoE (Centre of Expertise)

  • Working with the Associate Director to shape the annual brand communication strategy and media plans that influence, inspire and engage stakeholders behind your focus brands. This includes audience research and insight, communication framework development and connections mapping
  • Manage day-to-day requirements of clients and ensure strong service level scores. Lead ad hoc requests from clients in the regional marketing team
  • Own the ‘One Team’ Campaign Deployment Brief, working closely alongside our deployment & execution teams in the successful implementation and evaluation of activities on your focus brands
  • Participate in ‘above brand’ workstreams for the benefit and use of the total portfolio
  • Planning support for the AD when working alongside our global team and creative agency partners on campaign development
  • Carry out research on competitive analysis, audience profiling and market trends and key audience touchpoints

  • Help to accelerate our media transformation for MARS
  • Experience across all media channels, particularly digital media
  • Have a proven track record in collaborative relationships
  • Success in developing winning campaigns and innovative media ideas
  • Show you can develop briefs that are rigorous, inspirational and clear

 

 

Skills, Behaviours and experience required:

 

Experience in Media Planning

  • Proven communication planning skills, supporting in the development of media strategies & plans
  • An understanding of CPG category, media behaviours and landscape
  • Have experience in working across a variety of media touchpoints

 

Persuasive Communicator

  • You have good communication skills, ability to build strong relationships with clients and networks, strong at presenting

 

Insightful analytical thinker with an attention for detail

  • Good at handling data and extracting learnings

 

Collaborative team member

  • Able to work with a cross functional team, guide and manage the output
  • Developing junior team members

 

High energy and driven

  • Committed and passionate about what you do!

Languages and European experience

  • Fluent English mandatory
  • International planning experience beneficial
