Overview of role

 

Working across The Tesco Group, you will be responsible for leading a team of 2-3 people and driving performance across a range of digital channels. This involves working closely with your clients directly and a range of wider stakeholders to ensure high quality, consistent campaigns that meet our client KPI’s.  You will be the lead planner across digital activation for Tesco, across the performance pillar, and touch some other brand campaigns.

Measures of success

 

In three months, you would have:

  •        You have determined the reporting & data requirements to enable the necessary level of optimisation.  
  •        Completion of training across DV360, Amobee, Facebook, IAS and Twitter platforms with confidence to deliver activity and support others 
  •        Build a strong relationship with the Operations and Technology teams owning prioritisation, workloads and effective output 
  •        Expert status in the use of digital tools effectively to mine, deliver and direct insights such as excel, datastudio, Facebook Business Manager, Google Marketing Platform, Amobee 
  •        Understanding of Biddable media inventory and how to set up and activate across Programmatic Guaranteed, PMPs, Open Exchange and Social specific buys such as Twitter Spotlights, Snapchat Lenses 
  •        Manages own workload and the work of direct reports so that client and stakeholder needs are continually met 
  •        Focuses on and makes known to direct reports the need to improve client performance results and/or working practices 
  •        Is fully aware of the latest digital media developments and ensures that the team is kept informed 
  •        Owns relationships with media owners and specialist technology platform providers 
  •        You have established working relationships with Systems Planning, Systems Intelligence and specialist activation teams 
  •        You will have delivered a detailed recommendation to the client on opportunities for performance improvements across media & creative. 
  •        You have developed and delivered a test and learn roadmap for your client 
  •        You will have challenged existing practices and processes to drive better performance 
  •        Become an active part of the Systems Accelerator community in MediaCom.

Responsibilities of the role

 

  • MediaCom Systems Accelerators sit at the heart of our Systems Planning philosophy, collaborating with planning, insight and activation teams, performing a unique role within the media landscape. Accelerators are focussed on continuously optimising the media and creative performance to a determined client KPI, across multiple channels. This unique application of talent and technology creates sustained, transformational advantage for our clients across brand, performance and commerce. 

 

What you will need

 

  •        Experience planning & buying at least one of the following channels PPC, Programmatic, Paid Social, Affiliates, AV. 
  •        A working knowledge of other media outside your area of specialism 
  •        A highly analytical and outcome driven mindset with a passion for data, analysis and measurement. 
  •        An understanding of how to effectively interpret performance data to make effective optimisation decisions. 
  •        An understanding of all the variables that can be managed to drive performance improvements across brand and performance campaigns  
  •        Experience in developing and implementing test and learn plans with evidence of scaling and reapplying insight across channels and clients. 
  •        Working knowledge of DCO  
  •        Confidence in addressing groups of people, with an ability to distil complex digital ideas into useable information 
  •        A collaborative nature who can successfully manage and unite multiple stakeholders and teams.
