The Global Business Development team is integral to the growth of our business. As such, it is fast paced, challenging and offers people the chance to experience all facets of MediaCom. Integrating with a cross section of divisions and markets and working with people at all levels means that we have an in-depth knowledge of how we can utilise our expertise in marketing ourselves and raising our profile. If you want to unlock your growth potential, this is the team that will enable you to do so.


It is our responsibility to manage the global new business process effectively, to make sure all facets of the pitch run seamlessly and that we are delivering the most provocative team, systems and thinking at every touchpoint.


We do this by championing new business excellence through all markets across the world, ensuring everything we develop centrally is shared and reapplied locally.


The opportunity for growth


This role sits within New Business Development and has three key areas of focus:


Organisation: Ensuring every pitch process is organised and managed seamlessly, and we are set up to win.


Integration: Fostering a collaborative spirit in the extended Global Business Development team as well as the wider agency.


Inspiration: Sharing and reapplying best practice across the world, while making working on a pitch a growth goal for everyone at MediaCom.


This role is suited to an exceptional new business practitioner with around 3-5 years of experience who has ideally had exposure to pitches and project management. The role provides the opportunity to work on some of the biggest clients and media thinkers in the industry. We are constantly pitching clients in many markets and sectors, therefore the work will allow you to expand your knowledge of different categories and work with disciplines from all across the agency and network.


We have clear goals and ambitions for the next three years and the manager role is fundamental to deliver against them. The remit includes:



  • Seamless project management of pitches. This should include both global pitches and supporting game-changing local market pitches. This should also include managing multiple projects at any one time
  • Be commercially aware, setting and managing pitch budgets
  • Push the reporting agenda, with a focus on allocated market inputs to MCDab and COMvergence
  • Independently manage the production of RFI and RFP responses



  • Coordination of pitch collateral material, liaising with the global design team on PowerPoint and print design, video production and external resources
  • Maintain key relationships within the business and wider network
  • Support the wider MediaCom business on large ad-hoc projects such as workshops and conferences
  • Be a Systems Thinker
  • Be an active contributor to our People First culture and commitment



  • Contribute to pitch storytelling and have a point of view on teams and casting
  • Ensure the central and global community Teams sites are regularly updated with relevant content (best pitch work, best RFI/RFP responses)
  • Own key global/local relationships with allocated markets
  • Be an ambassador of the WIN process, contributing and taking responsibility for adoption in your allocated markets
  • Support the junior members of the team with their growth plans



The person


The Global Business Development Manager plays a key role in ensuring MediaCom has the highest performing team in the industry.


You will have a people-first mentality, working closely with the Associate Director to foster a collaborative team culture which embodies the MediaCom values; curiosity, passion and a caring nature.


You will use your accrued experience to support us in achieving our growth goal of becoming the number 1 global network by 2022, leading successful mid-sized global pitches that contribute to our annual billings targets.


You should be a team motivator and player with a can-do attitude. You must have the ability to keep a cool head under pressure and be an exceptional communicator. A keen eye for detail is a must.
