The Role: 


You will support the Global Account Director with what is, without exaggeration, the biggest marketing transformation in history: Centralising comms planning & media strategy from across nearly 40 markets in TCCC’s European hub. Essentially, by the end of the year, we want TCCC Europe to brief us centrally on their major multi-market campaigns in order to ideate centrally and execute with same level of excellence across markets.


TCCC Europe has four clusters: North, Central, Eastern Europe and Mediterranean. You will be responsible for one of these clusters and their corresponding markets along with a team of offline and digital implementation planners that will be sitting across corresponding cluster offices.

Key responsibilities of the Implementation Cluster Lead:


Implementation Excellence

  • Commit to becoming highly knowledgeable in media planning and buying excellence across the markets that correspond to the cluster
  • Gather a set of principles for best practice across planning & buying for offline and online across the set of markets in your cluster, based on our institutional CPG knowledge as well as TCCC learnings
  • Coach and mentor team of implementational managers, ensuring they adhere to said principles when planning and buying activity across the markets
  • Ideate, alongside other Implementational Cluster Leads, Strategists and Capability Leads as well as wider WPP team, big, award-winning ideas that can travel across market
  • Play an active role in building E2E planning and buying process across clusters, alongside Global Account Director, Operations Director, other Implementation Cluster Leads, Implementation teams across hubs and markets and wider Capability teams across MC and WPP.
  • Work very closely with cluster local MediaCom offices, ensuring everyone feels part of one same team despite being spread across separate offices.
  • Flag issues along the media planning and buying process whether at hub or local level to Global Account Director and Operations Lead for solution


Learning Agenda

  • Play an active role in identifying together with TCCC CX’s team workstreams to elevate learning across the network on different topics: Media planning and buying guidelines excellence, Attention planning across channels, Media Vendors showcase, among other subjects.


People Management

  • Daily management and mentoring of Offline Implementation Managers and Digital Systems Accelerators
  • Conduct 360 reviews with all direct reports
  • Design a career path for each direct report with clear objectives and conduct performance update meetings
  • Ensure individuals workloads are managed and prioritised in line with client needs and SLA’s


What you will bring:



  • Extensive experience in Campaign Planning & Implementation
  • Extensive experience in managing teams of planners & buyers across offline and online
  • Organisational skills and operational experience essential
  • Local planning and buying experience is a must, with strong background in AV
  • FMCG or CPG experience also a benefit
