We are looking for a passionate and driven person to help MediaCom develop and roll out the next generation of AV planning and buying systems – and to drive their adoption through the London office and the UK network.
This is a unique future-facing role within the agency. The AV systems champion will need to have up-to-the-minute hands-on experience of the challenges our clients face in driving maximum effectiveness and efficiency from their AV budgets. As such, this role will be 50% systems champion and 50% AV planning / buying.
At MediaCom, we have some of the media industry’s most advanced systems for planning across all AV channels. In a rapidly changing video landscape, however, we cannot rest on our laurels. These systems need to be constantly refined and improved to keep us ahead of the competition. The role of systems champion will involve:
- Talking to the AV planners and buyers across the business to understand the systems needs brought by their clients’ AV challenges
- Liaising with our systems developers to communicate these needs
- Training and support for users of key systems
- Presenting to new and existing clients the benefits of MediaCom’s AV systems
Alongside these unique systems development responsibilities, the AV Systems Champion will work as an AV Senior Planner / Planner-buyer at the heart of largest of MediaCom’s business units. This will allow them to stay constantly abreast of changes in viewing behaviours and client needs.
This side of the role will involve working closely with the Communications Planning team who own the client relationship and develop the audience insight and strategic planning work. The successful candidate will also work closely with the buying and commercial team at MediaCom ensuring that we are delivering against the commercial requirements for our clients.
As part of the AV planning team, you will be a vital part of system thinking at the agency, which leads our planning process. Understanding and developing AV and the latest technologies is fundamental to us delivering brilliant work for our clients and is behind much of our award winning work. You will also work closely with planning specialists in other media to formulate a connected response
Reporting of the role
The AV Senior Planner-buyer will have the opportunity to work across some of the largest accounts in the agency, such as PSA (Peugeot, Citroen, DS), Vauxhall, TUI, Muller and Mars, reporting into the AV Managers on each of those accounts. The work will be best in class, driving innovation through an understanding of how AV works alongside other media to deliver more successful media campaigns and ultimately drive better results.
From a systems champion perspective, you will report to the AV Partner responsible for systems development (Andrew Monks) and the Head of Data, Technology and Operations (Lisa Mundy).

What you will need:

- They should have experience planning across TV and VOD. Radio and Cinema planning would also benefit the candidate.
