Role Description Global Account Planner

 

The role involves developing campaigns that drive growth and revenue across key game launches, sales activity, and customer acquisition/retention.

 

This role is to work in the Global and EMEA regional team within the PlayStation Brand vertical, specifically on Third Party Software Business Unit. PlayStation works in partnership with some of the world’s biggest games publishers such as Bethesda and EA Sports on co-marketing campaigns leveraging the power of the hardware brand and PlayStations access to data targeting capability. This role involves all aspects of third-party campaign planning, management, and delivery.

 

We are looking for an Account Planner who has experience across all media channels, particularly digital channels, Programmatic, Social and Search. Both direct and biddable knowledge is essential. Extended knowledge across broader offline channels is a bonus.

 

As the Global Account Planner, you will be working on a mix of both centrally planned and activated campaigns and coordinating local market campaigns. You will be project managing all steps of the global/regional deliverable to the Global Mediacom team and Global client team producing briefing updates, global planning update wrap up reports and post campaign analysis documents. You will also be overseeing the activation process including creative delivery and all aspects of finance management from booking through to account query resolution.

 

Success will require the ability to toggle between seeing the bigger picture – for strategy adherence and guidelines development – and then also forensic detail of multiple market campaign management.

 

The Account Planner will work with the team to ensure that global strategic guidelines are appropriately applied in local plans, while ensuring local nuances are reflected across plans.

 

The Account Planner will have direct client contact and is responsible for working in coordination with their global, regional, and local counterparts. The Account Planners report into the Associate Director 3P and Brand Director and work on the planning processes from brief to execution to reporting with local buying teams for the clients in each market.

 

Key Tasks

Client Management

 

  • Be an available day to day contact for clients, have a proactive and can-do attitude.
  • Manage relationships with PlayStation and third-party publishers.
  • Participate in regular status calls and meetings with clients to understand their business, discuss campaign updates on planning and performance and help inform future strategies.
  • Manage client deliverables and expectations. Set and achieve deliverable deadlines and always produce high quality work.
  • Be personable and professional at all times representing the best of yourself and the agency to the external client teams.

 

Campaign Planning&Strategy

  • Support all aspects of Global and EMEA Regional Campaign planning management.
  • Support the creation of rationale for a media plan, any optimisation decisions, and their outcomes.
  • Campaign planning - directly and indirectly involved in planning sometimes centrally run activity and other times locally run activity. Create holistic digital plans working alongside biddable teams
  • Working closely with specialist digital biddable central media planning teams on Programmatic, Social and Search activity. 
  • Work with internal teams to ensure that campaigns launch successfully and are tracked for accuracy and performance.
  • Ensure all central campaign billing & invoicing is managed effectively and in a timely manner and any finance queries are resolved quickly
  • Monitoring and reporting campaign briefings across local markets, rolling up global reports and media plans into excel and PowerPoint decks and producing Post Campaign Analysis documents and accurate data sets for global reporting requirements
  • Support local Mediacom agency teams and develop relationships and help create a Sony community.
  • Regularly checking, correcting, and maintaining global campaign data point accuracy.
  • Be an expert working with data and ensuring highest degree of accuracy and integrity of global data is reported. Be curious to how it can help us understand media effectiveness
  • Meet all global deliverable deadlines and produce bulletproof and high-quality work through tenacity and proactive leadership.
  • Drive innovation and ideas across all Digital channel plans

 

 

Essential Skills:

  • Experience in a media agency in a variety of Digital roles (knowledge of Programmatic, Search & Social)
  • Experience in a media planning role as Planner or Account Planner
  • Experience in managing client stakeholder
  • Excellent communication skills and experience of working in multi-market teams
  • Analysing and utilising consumer insight data
  • Proven track record in managing multi-channel digital campaigns
  • Strong technical knowledge around adserving and programmatic activities
  • Understand the digital campaign process from brief to PCA
  • Have a genuine enthusiasm for Video gaming
  • Confident communicator who is willing to be involved with presenting in front of large groups of people from all levels
  • Pro-active, inquisitive, with good attention to detail and an ability to interrogate data
  • Excellent computer skills – Especially Excel and PowerPoint
