About the Team


Our team are a global client team within MediaCom Worldwide.  We are passionate, close-knit group of individuals, with wide ranging experience in media, who work in global media planning, activation and local market co-ordination for our clients.


The team is led by James Marples an experienced global account director of long-standing service at MediaCom, with support from a well-established account team of 6.


Clients within the team include Tempur, AkzoNobel, iRobot, Suntory, with combined billings of €120m.


We work with global clients based in Europe, and with our local offices on assignments that cover EMEA, APAC and LATAM. They are all well-established clients and we enjoy solid relationships and foundations on which to build. Our range of clients give us a valuable variety of experience and skills – strategy and guideline development, thought leadership, business development, best practice management, co-ordination and account management.


Key clients relevant to this role are iRobot and Tempur.



  1. Tempur: Global leaders in the premium mattress market, we help Tempur grow their brand in 17 markets in Europe and Asia and convert demand into purchase opportunities – in store and increasingly online


  1. iRobot: A growing client for MediaCom in EMEA. We are a crucial part of iRobot’s plan for growth in the robotic vacuum cleaner market. In this role you will work closely with our local markets and central digital specialists to help manage campaigns.


The Role


We’re searching for a Global Digital Manager to act as support for the team specifically managing campaigns and key projects across multiple clients.


The role will be responsible for the global digital management of Tempur and iRobot supporting the Business Director with a particular focus delivering strategies, roadmaps and best practice to executional teams locally or centrally. 


A key aspect of the role is to navigate clients through an increasingly complex media landscape where more and more emphasis is placed on digital and performance media. This requires a focus on outcome-planning, share and reapply, building innovation frameworks and working with local markets to deliver results.


The role also requires close integration with the core planning/account team to ensure digital is fully integrated in wider comms system, and developing solutions with other colleagues in specialist functions.



The candidate we are looking for:


  • The ideal candidate will have the ability to lead campaigns and digital projects independently, whilst managing specialist/activation teams to ensure integration and collaboration
  • Proactive and willing to develop and implement innovative media solutions
  • Confident in their approach and prepared to present and support recommendations to a variety of stakeholders
  • Thorough media knowledge across digital platforms with sound understanding of planning principles. Non-digital knowledge an advantage
  • Analytical skills and familiarity with data to manage reporting, identify insights and drive performance improvements
  • Familiarity with key digital platforms, their tools and reporting is critical
  • Exceptional communication and organisational skills are imperative
  • Experience in line-management preferred: setting objectives, management, motivation, and development
  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple workstreams
  • Strong attention to detail, delivering quality work
  • A pro-active attitude to learn new things and positivity about taking on new challenges
  • Excellent project management & co-ordination, making sure deadlines are clearly communicated and met


The role will require daily communication with multiple stakeholders including the wider network, creative and social agencies and clients


The role will be supported by an Account Executive.





Key Responsibilities:

Client Management

  • Direct client service, with regular contact via weekly calls, campaign briefings and on-going email communication
  • Develop and apply thorough knowledge of client’s business, main competitors’ activity, category news and trends
  • Develop trusted client relationships; demonstrate thorough understanding of clients’ business to land key (digital) recommendations
  • Identify client digital challenges and provide prompt feedback to line manager in order to continually improve client relationships and work quality

Campaign Management

  • Provide input to response to briefs, working with the relevant execution teams to brief in and produce response to briefs
  • Manage regular check ins with execution teams and local markets to ensure campaigns are delivering as planned and aligned to client KPIs
  • Assist the Client Leadership team in writing the strategic approach for campaign briefs, media planning and annual approach to brief
  • Identify relevant test/learn opportunities across appropriate channels and build these into client responses
  • Maintain relationships with key media owners to continuously uncover new opportunities for clients
  • Produce insights for response to briefs using target audience analysis tools, media trends and industry report
  • Brief and inspire local markets (Tempur): Delivering great work requires a brilliant central team to deliver thought leadership and clear strategy, but the true value will only be realised if local teams execute brilliantly in-market. 
  • The Digital Manager must marshal the team to create strong relationships with local markets to harness the full potential of our network. Working with MediaCom’s global network requires an understanding how to fix any challenges that come with digital transformation.

Data reporting

  • We have made great advances in collecting centralised data through the dashboard
  • However, accurate and timely information flow from local to global is critical to the smooth running of a global account, and needs to be monitored and action taken when appropriate.
  • Knowledge of key platforms and their tools and data reporting is essential

People and Team Management

  • Manage direct report (Account Executive), ensuring they develop and take ownership of key client deliverables, such as reporting
  • Collaboration with activation teams both centrally and locally

-          Languages an advantage but not essential
