Purpose of Role
MRM is looking for a UI Designer.
Reporting to the Creative Director, the UI Designer will work closely alongside the UX Architect, other designers, the developers, copywriter and business stakeholders. We need an experienced and dynamic UI Designer who will be responsible for the user interface (UI) design of our various digital assets. You will ensure that all elements of the online user experience are optimized for improved usability, usefulness, and exceptional visual design.

Key attributes
You will have to:
- Interpret the wireframes and produce mockups and interactive prototypes to demonstrate user interfaces.
- Design user interface and experience design recommendations for web and mobile applications based on insight and research.
- Create compelling and impactful visual content, including typography selection, colour scheme and iconography and design with a purpose.
- Clearly communicate and present thinking, ideas and design concepts to the team and occasionally to clients directly.
- Participate in design discussions and give feedback during planning and strategy meetings.
Requirements:
- Min 5 years of demonstrated experience in creating and implementing UI design.
- Must have a strong portfolio of creating simple but compelling and effective websites and Apps.
- Comprehensive knowledge of responsive design.
- Demonstrable experience with working with UI grid systems.
- Previous history with creating/amending/adhering to design systems.
- Must be able to use Adobe software packages (XD, Photoshop, Illustrator and prototyping tools).
- The ability to think creatively and deliver impressive concepts.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple milestones and projects efficiently.
- Must have proven ability to simplify complex customer journeys and visually present the user interface effectively.
- Experience working alongside UX research and strategy colleagues.
- Ability to work with UX Architects to come up with creative solutions based on wireframes (not just coloring in the wireframes).
It would also be a bonus if you:
- had any art direction / conceptual thinking background for creative campaigns.
- had previous experience in observing or participating in user testing studies.
- were an Arabic speaker.
- had experience with designing infographics and emailers.
- had basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
