Summer intern focusing on business news. The intern — a college junior, senior or recent graduate — should be studying or have a strong interest in business journalism. The ability to find business stories that are relevant and of interest to Kansas City readers is a must.

We are not looking for stories on business’s quarterly reports or stock market performance, but news about business that affects people’s lives.

Other stories that are not necessarily business-related will be assigned as needed. This intern will report to the investigations/enterprise editor. The investigations/enterprise editor will supervise this intern.

Remote based position.
