McCarthy is currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager for the electrical scopes on utility-sized renewable energy projects. 

This is a full-time, site-based position that requires extensive travel to locations that span the continental U.S. Travel subsistence and additional incentives provided per company guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Manager in establishing the project chart of accounts, developing and updating the CPM construction schedule, developing subcontracts and purchase orders and producing a responsibility listing for entire project staff
  • Provide administrative support to the Project Superintendent and leadership and training to the project staff and engineers
  • Track, review and process Change Proposal Requests, Change Orders, Owner Payment Applications and, if applicable, claims
  • Monitor job costs, maintain accurate reports and assist the Project Manager and Superintendent in preparing quantity reports, analyzing the labor costs and completing quarterly profit project records
  • Assist in establishing, maintaining and leading the on-site Total Quality Management process
  • Manage the preparation and executing of the Project closeout process
  • Implement all applicable safety and EEO/affirmative action programs

Skills & Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field required
  • 3+ years of experience with managing electrical construction projects
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical construction principles/practices required
  • Advanced knowledge of construction principles/practices required
  • Experience in managing field staff and building relationships with owners
  • Strong work ethic and desire to work in a team environment
  • Demonstrated track record of job-site safety excellence
  • Ability to travel 100% nationwide

For California locations only, the salary range for this position is: $93,800 - $126,200. This does not include possible bonus and other benefits which can impact total compensation. Compensation offered may vary based on work location, experience, qualifications, specialty, training, and market and business considerations, among other factors.

For Colorado locations only, In accordance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB19-085), we are including McCarthy’s good-faith and reasonable estimate of a range of entry level base compensation at the time of the posting.  This does not include possible bonus and other benefits which can impact total compensation. Given the dynamic nature of the large-scale commercial construction industry, a candidate’s project portfolio and background can change the role and compensation for which that candidate might be qualified.  The title and pay range for this role could change based on candidate qualifications and experience. Pay Range: $84,200 - $105,200
