Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and continuously improve the O2S’s financial operating model, including service-based profit allocation to regions based on usage metrics and pillar performance.
- Oversee rate-setting, billing, CapEx strategy, and financial controls for all O2S services, driving economies of scale and net margin expansion.
- Lead development and tracking of critical KPIs related to asset utilization, cost performance, O2S adoption, and value creation, in partnership with Data and Operations teams.
- Manage annual budgeting, forecasting, and business planning for the O2S, incorporating CapEx investments ($100–150M over 3 years for facilities, equipment, and acquisitions), OpEx requirements, and ROI analysis.
- Coordinate financial decision-making and compliance across all O2S service pillars, including capital roadmap, asset depreciation, and service rate structure.
- Guide implementation of financial processes for transactional and strategic services (e.g., billing for equipment/fleet, procurement contracts, prefab revenue streams, logistics movements, and professional service engagements).
- Work directly with pillar leads to support robust financial interfaces with project teams, ensuring transparent and accurate intake, service delivery, and final invoicing.
- Maintain accountability model for O2S-driven profit allocations, and communicate with regional finance staff about key changes, phased transitions, and impact to business units.
- Support ongoing change management and communication, educating stakeholders on The O2S’s financial processes, KPIs, and alignment with margin expansion goals.
- Prepare and present financial analytics, management reports, and recommendations for the O2S leadership, executive committee, and BOD as required.
- Liaise with Corporate Finance Group on tax, license, compliance, and accounting standards, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
- As the O2S scales, help define and refine the finance organizational structure, including hiring for critical roles within the finance/accounting team.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting; construction, asset-based, or service organization experience strongly preferred.
- Advanced understanding of service-based financial models (profit allocation, rate-setting, asset management, CapEx/OpEx tracking) within a complex, multi-pillar business.
- Financial acumen to support high-impact capital investments and operational margin expansion across diverse service lines.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills with ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive financial discipline.
- Skilled in KPI development/tracking and data-driven decision-making; proficiency with ERP and reporting tools; advanced Microsoft Excel required.
- Proven ability to work proactively and independently in a newly created fast-scaling business.
- Experience implementing financial controls for high-volume transactional activities and supporting specialty strategic engagements preferred.
- Ability to manage up, down, and laterally, with strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
