McCarthy is hiring full-time Low Voltage Technicians for a construction project located in Arizona. This position will have travel opportunities. McCarthy is looking for team members that have a proven commitment to safety, are accustomed to working outdoors, and can be committed to a full-time schedule.

The Low Voltage Technicians install, maintain, and repair electrical systems under 50 volts, including security systems, fire alarms, audiovisual equipment, and networking infrastructure. They read blueprints, troubleshoot issues, ensure safety compliance, and perform testing with Fluke equipment.
 PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints to ensure accurate installation.
  • Installing security systems, fire alarms, audiovisual equipment, telecommunications systems, and networking infrastructure.
  • Pulling, routing, installing, and terminating structured cabling infrastructure in a commercial and solar environment.
  • Installing NVR systems and associated hardware, including cameras, switches, and storage devices, according to project specifications and design plans. 
  • Provide Access Control Installation, Service and Maintenance. 
  • Physically pulling CAT5 – CAT6A cables through conduits, cable trays, walls, ceilings, and floors.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Testing and diagnosing system malfunctions to ensure functionality.
  • Collaborating with other team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
  • All other duties assigned by site leadership.
 
QUALIFICATIONS 
  • Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in the physical security, fire alarm or low voltage communication industry installing fields.
  • Ability to travel to various project sites, including those located at considerable distances.
  • Must possess reliable transportation for commuting to job sites.
  • Understand the use of technical tools and testing equipment necessary for high-quality cabling installations.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting, pushing, pulling of material weighing 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and precipitation. 
  • Unrestricted use of hands, arms, shoulders, upper/lower back, visual acuity, depth, and color perception.
  • Self-motivated and takes initiative.
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
  • Age 18+
