Work Schedule Assignment

The second shift work schedule for this position is Monday through Thursday -- 4:00 pm to 2:30 am. There is potential for Friday scheduling depending on business needs.

Position Overview

This position safely operates packaging equipment to package commercial scale batches in accordance with the Packaging Order while following applicable SOPs and maintaining cGMP and compliance. This position will be responsible for verifying that correct packaging components are being issued prior to use, completing in-processing testing and performing line clearances.

The first shift work schedule for this position is Monday through Thursday -- 6:00am to 4:30pm. There is potential for Friday scheduling depending on business needs.

The second shift work schedule for this position is Monday through Thursday -- 4:00 pm to 2:30 am. There is potential for Friday scheduling depending on business needs.

Key Responsibility Areas

  • Batch Compliance:  Ensure that all work is accurate, precise, properly documented and compliant with Standard Operating Procedures and cGMP guidelines
  • Batch Record Review: Review of batch record after processing for accuracy and completeness
  • Quality:  Ensure the quality of work, products, and services as a first priority; comply with or exceed or exceed all regulatory and cGMP compliance standards as well as ensure accuracy and analyses as it relates to right first-time measures
  • Safety:  Adhere to all workplace safety laws, regulations, standards, and practices and actively advance a culture of safety within his or her team and organization
Specific Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • With minimal supervision, assist in the packaging and labeling of full commercial scale batches, scale-up, development and CTM batches
  • With minimal supervision, assemble, disassemble, clean and store packaging equipment
  • Document packaging and labeling steps in batch records accurately and completely as required; demonstrate ability to complete documentation with minimal errors
  • Perform start-up and in-process testing accurately and ensure properly documented
  • Become proficient in performing functions in QAD
  • Assist the Packaging Line Team Leader as needed

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of packaging experience in the pharmaceutical industry

Physical Requirements

  • Position requires the ability to lift 50 lbs unassisted, and push a maximum of 100 lbs
  • Majority of work day is performed while standing and walking
  • Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations
  • Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, twist, and have full range of motion in upper and lower extremities
  • Exposure to moving machinery parts, and damp, humid and wet environments
