Food Service Manager

Starting pay: $18.50/hr - $20.50/hr. with both career and growth opportunities, plus eligibility for a bonus program!

Shift: This is a full-time opportunity.

As a Food Service Manager, you’ll lead a team dedicated to delivering fresh, high-quality food and exceptional customer service. You’ll oversee daily food service operations, develop Team Members, and ensure every meal is prepared safely and efficiently.

• Interpersonal & Communication Skills: Engage effectively with Team Members and provide exceptional customer experiences through strong communication skills.
• Collected & Composed: Remain calm and collected under high-pressure situations while still delivering exceptional customer service.
• Effective Problem Solving: Possess strong problem-solving skills with the ability to recognize and analyze an issue while creating effective solutions.
• Food Service: 2+ years of food service management (preferred).
• Food Safety Certification: Must obtain and maintain the food safety certification required by the applicable state or local jurisdiction.

About the Job:

• Champion GET: Champion Maverik’s GET (Greet, Engage, and Thank) customer service expectations by modeling the behaviors, coaching Team Members on consistent execution, and holding the team accountable for a welcoming and engaging customer experience.
• Lead by Example: Jump in alongside your team when needed and help ensure the store and food service operation are running smoothly.
• Team Development: Assist with the training, mentoring, and supervision of store team members.
• Facility Maintenance: Ensure proper & safe food preparation while maintaining clean self-serving options (food & drink dispensers).
• Operational Excellence: Complete with the inspection of facilities/equipment with the Store Director, as well as third-party inspections.

Physical Requirements:

• This position involves frequent standing, walking, handling, and horizontal reaching. It also requires reaching above shoulder level and below the waist, as well as activities such as bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, and pushing. The role may involve lifting, carrying, or moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work safely with equipment that generates and maintains high temperatures, while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
