A Mavenlink Solutions Engineer is the technical expert supporting a team of account executives as a critical resource in the pre-sales process. A solutions engineer will articulate the tremendous value of Mavenlink to our prospective clients based on desired outcomes and product differentiation.

The Job:
  • Become the “know it all” on our ever-evolving product and the use cases relevant to a variety of industries we serve

  • Demonstrate and show off our product’s features, functions, and marketplace leadership by working closely with the Inbound, Outbound and Account Executive Sales Team

  • Engage in the consultative selling process, gaining customer acceptance based on the communicated requirements of the software and engagement


  • Build custom demonstrations showcasing relevant functionality prior to key customer meetings


  • Scope and build POCs and/or participate in Pilot engagements, helping customers see the product fit in their environment


  • Respond to technical portions of RFPs, ensuring short-listing of the solution


  • Communicate tips and workarounds for prospects when the core product doesn’t meet requirements or when the requirements have better alternatives


  • Work with the Product Management team, helping short-list key field requirements on the product roadmap for increased sales success


  • Build ongoing relationships with power users and influencers during sales cycles to generate ideas on further product enhancements and improvements


  • Identify uses of our API where external system integration is necessary and help scope initial Professional Services engagements


Your Experience and Skills:
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Participated in major project delivery or consulting, lending a deep understanding of project management tools and processes

  • Proven leadership in navigating and handling customer objections

  • Degree in a technical field of study or an equivalent combination of training and experience

  • Deep understanding of Software as a Service as well as common enterprise IT requirements


Ideal, but not necessary:
  • Knowledge with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Ruby, Java, and other front and back-end programming languages
