What you’ll do

  • Lead the Product Quality Team and provide key support to the Construction Operations team during the build process.
  • Manage the Product Quality team in conducting product quality checks of Suites and Common Areas during set milestones
  • Support the creation of a standard suite delivery program and a common area program that can be shared and implemented by the Construction Site teams.
  • Collaborate with departments (Construction, Warranty, Customer Care) to provide feedback and create measuring tools for Construction and trade related quality issues
  • Lead the reporting of Quality metrics across the Urban division
  • Oversee the implementation of the Quality Management program across the construction sites, ensuring adequate resourcing and identify improvements to the program
  • Ensure installations of finishes are as contracted/scoped, product specifications are met and assist with vetting of product and design alternatives where necessary and possible.
  • Maintain product quality schedule and reporting at checkpoints during the construction phase using an established inspection matrix. 
  • Resolve common deficiencies by creating targeted programs and hosting regular quality inspections of suites and common areas and training (monthly and quarterly training sessions as needed)
  • Review mockup suite(s) and provide commentary for each community to ensure design and quality parameters are met and understood.
  • Ensure the construction team understands quality expectations that need to be maintained for the community lifecycle and identify subpar workmanship and trends that can be course corrected in real time
  • Share ongoing lessons learned from the Quality Program with the construction Project Management, Site and Design teams to ensure future success 
  • Assist in creating a master “community lessons learned” working document to assist with improvement over multiply communities and applying them through master tender scopes.

What you bring

  • Bachelor's (or) degree in Business, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and/or Construction Management.
  • 10+ years of Construction industry experience, ideally in a role focused on quality.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience managing complex projects, coupled with a minimum of 5 years or more as a people leader. 
  • Proven leadership skills honed by success at the management level of mid-sized to major organizations.
  • Demonstrable experience executing on long range and/or complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Technology savvy with proven experience working with an ERP System, together with exceptional analytic, quantitative and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrates confidence, leadership skills, honesty, and integrity together with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Data and detail oriented with the ability to leverage analytics to make decisions.

Bonus points

  • Understanding of building drawings, codes, and site specifications.
  • Experience using Procore
