What we offer

In keeping with Mattamy’s mission to provide The Best Homeowner Experience, the New Home Specialist plays a key role in delivering a seamless homeowner journey through quality inspections, homeowner education, and collaboration with construction and warranty teams to ensure an exceptional customer experience.

 

What you’ll do

  • Complete QA Inspections, working with the construction teams to deliver the best possible product and experience for our homeowners and ensuring proper selections have been installed.
  • Conduct pre-delivery inspections / new home orientation with the customer for their new home as well as acquaint them with the operations and maintenance information of the mechanical systems installed. 
  • Conduct certificates of completion and facilitate and execute pre-possession homeowner correspondence and documentation.
  • Collaborate with Construction teams to pinpoint trends in building as well as feedback from our homeowners.
  • Deliver up to date and accurate reporting monthly and/or whenever required.
  • Assist Warranty team during off-peak volumes
  • Possible weekend work may be required and travelling to different construction sites will be required.

 

What you bring

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in residential construction, homebuilding, warranty services, customer care, or a related field with direct homeowner interaction.
  • Valid driver’s license with reliable access to a vehicle and flexibility to travel frequently between assigned communities and construction sites.
  • Strong customer service and relationship management skills, with the ability to build trust and communicate effectively with homeowners, trades, site teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, with the ability to maintain accurate records and reporting.
  • Highly organized with strong time management skills and the ability to coordinate multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive, professional, and customer-focused approach, with a commitment to delivering an exceptional homeowner experience.
  • Self-motivated and resourceful, with the ability to work independently while fostering strong collaboration across cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage challenging situations and resolve concerns effectively, balancing empathy, professionalism, and sound judgment.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify deficiencies, monitor quality standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to educate homeowners on home features, maintenance requirements, and warranty processes.

 

Bonus points

  • Knowledge of construction terminology and TARION guidelines.
  • Knowledge of BuildPro 

 

Compensation

Salary + Bonus Verbiage:

The expected base salary range for this position is $50,000 - $73,500. Actual pay may vary depending on your job-related knowledge, competencies, and skills. We recognize that exceptional situations may fall outside this range, and we encourage all interested candidates to apply.

 

You are also eligible to participate in Mattamy’s annual bonus program which gives you the opportunity to increase your total compensation if business and individual goals are achieved.
