In keeping with the Mattamy Mission of providing The Best Homeowner Experience, the Warranty Service Manager in our Ottawa Division is responsible for the daily operations of the Warranty Service Department to ensure that homeowner service requests are fulfilled while delivering on our mission.
What you’ll do
- Manage the completion of warranty service work, while adhering to budget, which includes:
- Collect, review, and schedule 30 day and year-end Warranty Service requests.
- Respond to and provide immediate resolution to deficiencies, including mediation, arbitration, conciliation inspections, and reports.
- Review repairs completed by Warranty Service Technicians for quality of work and completion as per schedule and provide on-going support and guidance.
- Ensure trades are scheduled appropriately and expedite work in order to adhere to Warranty Service timelines and guidelines.
- Work closely with Senior Builders and Trade Partners and regularly communicate with the Construction team to report repetitive deficiencies and homeowner concerns.
- Provide exemplary leadership to all Warranty Service employees through ongoing performance management, development, coaching, and attracting and retaining strong performers.
- Responsible for creating and maintaining relationships with homeowners including the ability to deal professionally with upset/irate customers.
- Manage emergency service requests after closing, including emergency support for the Model Homes and Sales Offices.
- Responsible for site compounds remaining clean and presentable.
- Participate in Mattamy community events and play an active role in Mattamy University sessions.
What you bring
- College/University degree or diploma in Business, Construction, Urban Planning, Leadership or a combination of post-secondary education and experience.
- Demonstrated people leadership experience (minimum 2 years)
- 3+ years of experience in a customer service or construction role.
- General knowledge and familiarity with terms of trade contracts and Tarion.
- Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and manage variable workloads.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
- Customer focused with strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
Bonus points
- Experience working with a homebuilder.
- Carpentry, electrical, plumbing, drywall and painting experience.
Compensation
The expected base salary range for this position is $85,000 - $130,000. Actual pay may vary depending on your job-related knowledge, competencies, and skills. We recognize that exceptional situations may fall outside this range, and we encourage all interested candidates to apply.
You are also eligible to participate in Mattamy’s annual bonus program which gives you the opportunity to increase your total compensation if business and individual goals are achieved.
