The BIM Modeler will work closely with senior team members to model, develop, manage, and coordinate detailed Revit models used in residential construction and manufacturing. . In this role, you will produce REVIT models that are ready to support permitting, Site construction, manufacturing, procurement, and site installation. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in a design-build–style environment, with strong technical knowledge of BIM software, workflows, and multi-discipline coordination.
What you’ll do
- Create, develop, maintain, and manage detailed Revit models for modular units and prefabricated wall/floor systems.
- Utilize panelization software to prepare manufacturing-ready files.
- Produce and coordinate all fabrication scopes in BIM, including, but not limited to, panels, building assemblies, and integrated building systems within volumetric modules.
- Produce highly detailed shop drawings for use in manufacturing, procurement, and site installation.
- Coordinate with architectural, structural, and MEP consultants to ensure all designs are fully integrated and ready for manufacturing.
- Participate model review processes, identify clashes, and resolve coordination issues before fabrication.
- Maintain internal Revit content libraries, ensuring standardization and compliance with project requirements.
- Model in accordance with BIM execution plans, model management standards, and version control processes.
- Support integration of Revit models into CNC, panelization, and other manufacturing workflows.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you bring
- Post-secondary education in Architectural Technology, Structural Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of Revit modelling experience in architectural, structural, or modular/prefabricated construction.
- Experience with panelization software such as SEMA.
- Proven ability to coordinate with multi-disciplinary consultant teams and resolve design issues.
- Strong understanding of BIM standards, model management, and fabrication-ready documentation.
- Familiarity with structural, architectural, and MEP design principles.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Bonus points
- Experience with CNC-driven production, or modular manufacturing workflows.
- Previous work in a design-build or offsite construction environment.
Compensation
The expected base salary range for this position is $57,500 - $87,500. Actual pay may vary depending on your job-related knowledge, competencies, and skills. We recognize that exceptional situations may fall outside this range, and we encourage all interested candidates to apply.
You are also eligible to participate in Mattamy’s annual bonus program which gives you the opportunity to increase your total compensation if business and individual goals are achieved.
