What we offer 
Reporting to the Manager, Urban Product Design, we have an exciting new opportunity for an architecturally focused student who is looking to gain experience in urban residential development to support and help facilitate both building & suite specific design initiatives and innovative offerings within our growing mixed-use urban development portfolio. 
  
The role will focus heavily on suite/interior layouts and larger building design themes while working closely with our internal development, marketing/sales and construction teams in addition to our external consultants in an effort to help align and drive our overall project-specific vision. 
  
What you’ll do 
  • Provide support to the urban product design manager and senior manager as required on a project-by-project basis. 
  • Reviewing, redlining and otherwise commenting on design work as well as ensuring drawing accuracy. 
  • Obtain customer feedback and marketing intelligence from marketing/sales with the 
  • Participate in a group student Capstone project focused on sustainability  
intention of always leading the market and delivering high quality, people centric product designs and instilling best practices across multiple projects. 
  • Provide clear commentary and communication as it relates to Urban Product offerings; including review of marketing and legal blacklines, renderings/brochures, sales displays, etc. 
  • Help to drive product designs forward with architects and other project team members: 
  • Assist with setting the overall design tone, working closely with interior designers to deliver upon the buyer-centric project theme.  
  • Keep track of internal project portfolio and product launch schedules. 
  • Engage with the customer service and warranty teams to understand and learn from any customer concerns or home deficiencies related product design, both during and after initial home or building occupancy. 
  • Help to maintain a list of “lessons learned” to facilitate superior execution on subsequent similar features, products and projects, adapting standards and best practices accordingly. 
  
What you bring 
  • Enrolled in a university or college program in the Architectural Design, Construction Project Management and/or building-related Engineering disciplines. 
  • Strong spatial problem-solving abilities with a developed and broad design sensibility is required. 
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office. 
  • Detail orientation is a must. 
  • Must be able to clearly communicate spatial challenges and solutions visually and in written and spoken forms. 
  
Bonus points 
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Autodesk Revit.
