What we offer

We are seeking a high-energy self-motivated Manager for our IT Infrastructure team who will be responsible for driving the company's strategic roadmap for infrastructure innovation through infrastructure engineering and automation initiatives as well as infrastructure operations. This role has direct oversight managing a team of highly-skilled network architects, network engineers and administrators responsible for engineering, deploying, and providing escalation and support for all infrastructure platforms and applications including networks, cloud and workforce automation tools.

 

What you’ll do

  • Lead and manage a team of 5-10.
  • Own and drive multiple simultaneous projects within the portfolio through close coordination with business partner teams, as well as other IT teams and external vendors.
  • Drive down costs through technical innovation and vendor management.
  • Drive project execution ensuring on time and on budget project/program delivery. 
  • Leads and coaches others to work effectively to deliver projects or services in a strong customer-service / team-oriented environment.
  • Ensures effective operations of infrastructure and support services across IT.
  • Defines operational and support processes, drives adoption of processes and tools, and continuously looks for opportunities to improve and automate.
  • Assesses the performance levels of associates within the team and adeptly allocates appropriate talent resources to tasks.
  • Recognizes and fills any gaps in resourcing, proactively manages performance concerns, and recruits exceptional new talent.
  • Offers valuable mentorship and developmental opportunities to fellow members within the organization.
  • Collaborate with peer leaders to ensure execution is effective and efficient.
  • Accountable for assigned portfolio/technology/service and develops roadmaps for assigned incorporating both business and IT team demand taking a strategic view of the work.
  • Provides leadership in key interactions with others to define, analyze, and deliver customer solutions. Builds trust to influence peers and others to break down barriers and drive results.
  • Ensures process and quality standards are established and achieved within team.
  • Interface with key vendors to layout strategic direction and incorporate into functional roadmaps.
  • Work with vendors and procurement teams to ensure roadmaps incorporate cost effective strategy for managing ongoing support and maintenance contracts.
  • Provide escalation point for operational teams as a last tier of support for the business. Maintain ultimate responsibility for systems that are implemented
  • Leads actions required for business continuity as required during emergencies

 

What you bring

  • 5+ years of direct people management
  • 6+ years’ experience with Hyper Converged Infrastructure (vSAN), VMware virtualization, Cisco, Fortinet, AWS, Azure
  • 4+ years’ technical experience working with server technologies such as Windows Server, Linux, VMware vSphere, and server hardware.
  • 7+ years’ experience managing and delivering infrastructure design and operational excellence
  • Working experience with Fortinet firewalls, switches, Wireless access points, fortiManager and full suite of Fortinet equipment and software
  • Excellent communication (oral and written), action oriented, and strong analytical/problem solving skills
  • Experience working in large environments and as part of a multi country leadership team
  • Demonstrated experience leading/coaching/building highly skilled technical teams in complex IT environments
  • Skilled in managing a budget, forecasting financial impacts and variances, and has experience managing third-party vendors.
  • Ability to lead strategic process/technology roadmap discussions and organizational change across the IT organization.
  • Experience leading technical teams to implement both hardware and software solutions in highly distributed environments
  • Knowledge and background in infrastructure automation, enterprise storage and backup solutions, network and communications, infrastructure tools as well as cloud and hybrid cloud solutions.
  • Solid understanding of project management fundamentals and best practices
