What we offer

The Technical Lead, Microsoft Dynamics manages the technical aspects of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 (MS Dynamics) implementation and is responsible for the design and technical implementations of modules, business solutions, technical delivery practices and environments. This role will also present coaching to technical teams as Subject Matter Experts (SME) on platform capabilities ensuring the development and implementation of deliverables meet platform standards. The Technical Lead, Microsoft Dynamics contributes to configuration and the overall development of complex solutions.

 

What you’ll do

  • Analyze business requirements with product teams, translating them into technical requirements for implementation
  • Design solution and technical architectures for projects, new capabilities and enhancements ensuring development and implementation designs align to business and technical needs
  • Lead solution design and delivery of technical components of the Microsoft ecosystem and external solutions integrated
  • Install and configure MS Dynamics modules and marketplace apps to meet project and business needs
  • Lead design and technical integration across MS Dynamics modules and with external systems
  • Create and maintain PowerApp solutions, MS flows and custom code based on requirements
  • Perform code and configuration reviews for solutions to ensure compliance prior to deployment, recommend best practices for development and implementation
  • Designs, develop and maintain deployment pipelines for efficient release management across environments and solutions
  • Execute and oversee deployment and release processes ensuring technical dependencies are delivered and solution deployment is successful
  • Lead tier 3 support issues across product, service desk and vendors to bring issues to resolution
  • Partner with Infrastructure ops to design, implement and manage cloud resources and security models for efficiency and performance
  • Participate in pre-sales engagements to understand platform capabilities and alignment to business and technical needs.
  • Contribute to licensing discussions to ensure proper licensing models are employed and forecasted to adapt to business needs
  • Establish and oversee compliance to the standards for module and solution use including naming conventions, taxonomies and validation rules

What you bring

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Microsoft consultant, engineer or architect level certifications
  • 5+ years of experience designing, delivering, configuring MS Dynamics solutions
  • 10+ years of technical engineering experience with a combination of coding and configuration in Microsoft tech stack and programming languages such as Java, Javascript, Python, SQL
  • 5+ years of experience in MS Dynamics implementations with technical leadership accountabilities
  • 5 years direct and indirect leadership accountabilities within and across delivery teams
  • SME in MS Dynamics and architecture, including knowledge of modules related to CRM and Project Operations
  • Expert level proficiency in Power Platform, CDS and CDM
  • Proficient in Microsoft Flow and canvas apps
  • In depth knowledge of Microsoft PowerApps component framework with ability to create, support and maintain solutions
  • In depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure, associated service offerings and ability to relate and recommend solutions based on business needs
  • In depth proficiency with Microsoft data storage solutions and techniques, including SQL, Dataverse, Fabric, SSIS etc.
  • Understanding of data modeling and database concepts within MS Dynamics
  • Proficiency in MS Dynamics development tools (Plugins, Workflows, Custom Entities, APIs)
  • Experience with integrations between MS Dynamics and other systems (e.g., ERP)
  • Decision-making capabilities to resolve technical challenges and prioritize tasks
  • Ability to mentor and guide junior developers on the team
  • Troubleshooting complex technical issues within MS Dynamics and across solution landscape
  • Identifying root causes of problems and proposing effective solutions
  • Documenting technical specifications and design decision
     

Bonus points

  • A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerBI
