WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The experiential Art Director will be responsible for the overall event look and feel, as well as build-drawings and other deliverables associated with event design. The Art Director liaises and engages with vendors as necessary to accomplish all of these deliverables and work within the agency's team with both full time and freelance resources as necessary. The Art Director acts as a mentor for the Art Directors, Graphic Designers and Interns on the team and plays a vital role in their career development.
YOU SHOULD HAVE
  • Must have a Portfolio displaying work examples
  • 6+ years of proven, hands-on creative leadership as an art director or in an artistic profession
  • Passion for our craft
  • Freelance experience or corporate client relationship experience
  • Integrated marketing and event experience
  • Graphic Design experience
  • Experience working with Fortune 100 clients
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong written and verbal interpersonal communication and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency
  • Proven leadership and experience in cultivating teams
  • Experience coordinating activities with other artistic and creative individuals

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Implementing the overall look/feel for the event.
  • Technical drawings for all build elements.
  • Site layouts for permitting and production purposes.
  • Oversee decor sourcing and provide direction.
  • Provide direction to scenic vendors and manage material selection.
  • Oversight of the build process to ensure quality and accuracy true to drawings.
  • Input as requested by the producer to maintain consistent look/feel across all elements.
  • Onsite artistic direction to ensure accurate concept implementation.
  • Current projected design/build list to include (but not be limited to):
  • Entrances (pier, VIP and general admission).
  • Art installations (a minimum of two within layout).
  • Food court areas.
  • Main performance stage design.
  • VIP performance stage design.
  • VIP pier environment (lounges, demo installations and catering).
  • Fun house (custom activation).
  • Gaming tent design (interior).
  • Deloitte hospitality tent design (interior).
  • Viewing platform (with canopy).
  • Lounge/food tent design (interior).
  • Demo installation builds.
  • Perimeter fence branding.
  • Specialty catering/entertainment moments (consultation in layout).
  • General event site layout.

HOW WE’LL TAKE CARE OF YOU
Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting salary for this role is between $96,000 - $130,000. Our salary ranges are based on third-party national average market compensation analysis. The actual salary is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
