About the Role

We are seeking a Business Affairs Manager to support high-profile marketing, brand, and partnership initiatives across the organization. In this role, you will serve as a strategic advisor and compliance partner to creative, marketing, product, and partnerships teams—ensuring that celebrity licensing, entertainment collaborations, and social content initiatives are executed responsibly, compliantly, and in alignment with company standards.
You will play a key role in managing rights, mitigating risk, and enabling innovative campaigns with major entertainment partners, talent, and influencers—while navigating evolving regulatory and branding requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Celebrity, Talent & IP Licensing
  • Provide business affairs support for celebrity engagements, talent deals, and use of name, image, and likeness across marketing campaigns and product experiences.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate agreements related to celebrity, talent, and entertainment partnerships in collaboration with internal legal teams.
  • Advise on licensing considerations related to film, television, video game, and entertainment partnerships, including usage scope, term, territory, and platform rights.
  • Partner closely with legal teams to ensure appropriate contractual structures and risk mitigation for talent- and IP-driven initiatives.

Entertainment & Brand Partnerships
  • Support partnerships with studios, publishers, and entertainment brands, advising on rights, approvals, co-branding, and promotional usage.
  • Provide guidance on campaign execution involving branded content, experiential activations, and integrated marketing programs.
  • Serve as a business affairs point of contact for external partners, agencies, and vendors.

Marketing & Social Content Reviews
  • Review marketing and social content for compliance with licensing terms, talent approvals, branding standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Script reviews in all languages and social content reviews.
  • Advise marketing teams on permissible claims, disclosures, and content usage across organic and paid channels.
  • Ensure content aligns with internal brand guidelines, advertising policies, and risk standards.

Regulatory & Endorsement Compliance
  • Stay current on regulations and best practices related to endorsements, influencer marketing, native advertising, and content promotion.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert and internal consultant on disclosure requirements and sponsored content labeling.
  • Provide proactive guidance to teams to ensure campaigns meet applicable regulatory expectations.

High-Stakes Project Advisory
  • Act as a trusted compliance advisor on complex, high-visibility initiatives with elevated legal, reputational, or brand risk.
  • Identify potential issues early and propose practical, business-forward solutions that enable execution while maintaining compliance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, marketing, communications, product, and partnerships teams to align on risk assessments and execution plans.

Process & Operational Excellence
  • Develop and improve internal workflows, review processes, and documentation related to business affairs support.
  • Educate internal stakeholders on business affairs considerations, rights management, and compliance best practices.
  • Contribute to scalable frameworks that support global marketing and partnership initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in business affairs, rights management, entertainment marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience working with talent, celebrity licensing, or entertainment partnerships.
  • Familiarity with endorsement and influencer marketing regulations.
  • Proven ability to partner cross-functionally and manage multiple high-priority initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting marketing or partnerships at a consumer brand, technology platform, media company, studio, or agency.
  • Strong understanding of intellectual property, licensing structures, and brand risk management.
  • Ability to balance legal, creative, and business priorities in fast-paced environments.
