Description

We are looking for a Managing Consultant with marketing automation expertise to join our expanding team. This role perfectly balances senior client leadership with team development. On the delivery side, you will guide complex customer projects and strategic marketing initiatives. As a People Manager, you will lead, mentor, and develop a team of consultants to maximize productivity and engagement, bridging the gap between talent development and client goals. Core management duties include onboarding, continuous coaching, conducting performance reviews, and issue resolution.

Responsibilities:

People Management:

  • Practice Leadership & Strategic Alignment: Lead the organization’s marketing automation practice by establishing goals and delivery standards for the consulting team, ensuring day-to-day operations align seamlessly with overarching business objectives.

  • Onboarding & Talent Integration: Manage role requirements and performance expectations for new hires, successfully transitioning them into high-contributing team members while building a trusted management relationship that drives long-term retention.

  • Performance Management: Set clear goals, deliver actionable feedback, and facilitate ongoing development conversations during regular 1:1s, culminating in annual performance evaluations.

  • Team Engagement, Culture & Relations: Foster a positive, collaborative, and inclusive work environment, actively mediating disputes and handling internal employee relations matters with fairness and transparency.

  • Cross-Functional Issue Resolution: Partner closely with Account Managers and Human Resources to proactively address, manage, and resolve client delivery issues and consultant performance gaps.

Delivery Leader:

  • Serve as an architect and strategic advisor for client accounts, translating complex business objectives into scalable marketing technology solutions and campaign execution frameworks.

  • Lead high-performing delivery teams to execute high-impact MarTech initiatives on time and within scope, proactively mitigating risks and managing senior stakeholder relationships to maximize technology ROI.

  • Drive consulting delivery excellence by establishing best practices, guiding data-driven campaign strategies, and partnering with customer teams to modernize their marketing automation ecosystems.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years of management experience with a proven track record of success in comparable leadership roles, preferably within a professional services environment.

  • Deep expertise in marketing automation is required, with specific experience in platforms such as Marketo Engage, Eloqua, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

  • Proven leadership and motivation skills, backed by a genuine passion for managing teams and cultivating the professional growth of others.

  • Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to effectively mitigate conflicts.

  • Expertise in implementing global demand centers preferred.

  • Preferred qualifications include experience planning and executing event marketing initiatives, such as trade shows, user conferences, and roadshows.

We are looking for a Managing Consultant, specializing in Marketing Automation to join our growing team. The Managing Consultant will be responsible for managing one of our incredible teams of Marketing Automation Experts and will be responsible for maintaining and improving upon the high quality of service we provide. This person will perform the duties of both a senior-level Marketing Automation consultant and a people  manager in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment. As a People Manager, they will lead, support and develop employees to maximize productivity and engagement, acting as a bridge between the consultants and organizational goals. Key people management duties include onboarding, mentoring, coaching, conducting performance reviews, and resolving conflicts. Foster a positive culture and ensure team alignment with company objectives.

Responsibilities:

People Management:

  • Onboarding: Sets the stage and manages role requirements, performance expectations and long-term retention. Helping transition the new hire into a contributing team member while developing a trusted management relationship.

  • Performance Management:  Setting clear goals, delivering actionable feedback and ensuring there are continuous conversations specific to performance during regularly scheduled 1:1’s.  Conducting annual performance evaluations.

  • Coaching & Development:  Supporting training opportunities, coaching staff and fostering professional growth.

  • Employee Engagement & Culture:  Promoting a positive, collaborative and inclusive work environment

  • Conflict Resolution & Employee Relations:  Mediating disputes and handling disciplinary matters with fairness. Partnering with Account Managers and Human Resources to address potential retention risks, resolved within 30 days.

  • Strategic Alignment:  Connecting day-to-day operations with overall business goals.

Consulting:

  • Drive the the success of some of our very large strategic accounts to make them successful in their Marketing Automation efforts

  • Lead the Marketo practice for the organization through the development of  goals and standards for team of automation consultants

  • Have deep knowledge and expertise in managing global demand centers, large enterprise instances, and the change management required for the success of both

  • Identify and track benchmarks for client demand gen activities

  • Manage flawless operational execution

  • Balance multiple (and sometimes conflicting )stakeholder priorities

  • Provide consultative, prescriptive direction to maximize systems, tools and strategy

  • Apply best digital practices and troubleshoot automation-related challenges

  • Guide conversations between marketing and sales teams to develop lead management, nurturing and scoring practices

  • Lead projects across the project lifecycle from current state documentation, gap analysis, requirements gathering, future state design, and implementation across the organizational, process, technology and data dimensions

  • Develop and deploy of project roadmaps

  • Helping solve some of the most interesting operational and scale challenges unique to global enterprises

Minimum Qualifications

  • Demonstrated track record of success in multiple comparable roles

  • Minimum 5 years of management experience

  • Experience in Marketo is required

  • Passion for managing teams and supporting the growth and development of others

  • Proven leadership, motivation and team building skills

  • Comfortable with ambiguity, highly agile, and flexible

  • Exceptional communication, presentation conflict mitigation skills

  • Demonstrable leadership skills in demanding corporate environments

  • Have autonomously led major programs of work

  • Consulting experience either as an internal consultant or with a consulting/software company
