Description

Position Summary 
Supervise operational activities which may include production, Vessel/Rail discharge activities, plant maintenance, and mobile equipment in one of our plants. Provide leadership to hourly workforce to ensure safe and efficient production, maintenance, and customer service.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for training and development of team, scheduling, performance management, and effective leadership of hourly workforce
  • Successfully lead the Company's safety initiatives
  • Working knowledge and understanding of MSHA/OSHA regulations and possess a strong personal commitment to safety
  • Implement environmental processes and regulations
  • Successfully lead and manage to established production, safety, and environmental objectives and metrics
  • Participate in yearly planning of aggregates distribution location, maintenance and hourly costs to meet budget goals
Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mining, Civil), Business, or equivalent experience preferred not required.
  • 2+ years' experience in aggregate operations with understanding of material discharge equipment such as railcars, conveyors, and associated mobile equipment preferred.
  • Minimum 1-year supervisory experience in a distribution environment preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks; strong planning skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Experience with inventory control, inventory measures and customer service preferred
  • Ability to work flexible schedule as required including nights, weekends and possible holidays.
