Martin Marietta is currently looking for a Production Supervisor for its underground location based out of Indianapolis, Indiana. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for assisting in managing all safety, operational, financial, environmental and personnel duties for the plant in accordance with company programs, policies, and guidelines as well as government agencies.

Responsibilities:
- Training and development of the team, scheduling, performance management and effective leadership of the hourly workforce
- Successfully leading and managing to production, safety, quality, employee development and environmental objectives and metrics
- Performing all activities in accordance with the Company’s Mission, Vision and Values, and in compliance with the Company’s policies, procedures and Code of Ethical Business Conduct.

Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of experience in aggregate operations
- Minimum 1-year supervisory experience in a mining environment, preferred
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- The ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Proficiency with computer and Microsoft Office programs and other similar progra
Work Environment
This job operates frequently in an operations and maintenance environment in an underground mine location.This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Physical requirements include the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds from ground to waist, visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination, manual dexterity, repetitive motion, standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, bending and stooping, working from a elevated position and the ability to drive.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position that regularly requires long weekday hours and occasional Saturday work. Occasional travel will be required.
