Position Summary
  

The Laborer will help assist with day-to-day operations which include but are not limited to maintaining a clean yard and work environment. Will help maintain roadways and work areas. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.  
 
     
Responsibilities   
  • Performs a variety of general manual labor tasks under direct supervision. Common tasks are shovel work, sweeping, lifting, cleaning, and acting as a spotter.
  • Uses a variety of tools and equipment to support production operations such as skid steer shovels or other equipment to remove excess material from beneath the plant.
  • Assists Plant Operators, Equipment Operators, and Maintenance Crew with daily duties/projects as requested.
  • Keep plant clean to eliminate possible hazards
  • Follow all safety and environmental rules and regulations
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements   
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • Must be safety conscious, dependable, motivated, and possess a positive attitude in working with others as a team.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Previous construction or industry experience is a bonus but not required.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check.

Salary Posting:

We are excited to share the base range for this position is $20.20 - $27.00, exclusive of benefits or bonuses (discretionary and non-discretionary). The offered base hourly compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, business need, market conditions, proficiencies, skills, education, and experience. Additionally, at Martin Marietta we place a high value on internal pay equity and will consider the compensation for those in similarly situated roles and direct team members. The posted range for this role represents the total reasonable pay range and does not solely represent a hiring range. Therefore, hiring at the top or maximum of the range should not be expected as it would not allow for salary growth opportunities in the role, would diminish promotion value, and may not align with internal equity.
