Plant Operator
Description
- Operates, monitors, and maintains plant processing equipment within the company guidelines and safety standards.
- Daily pre-and post-inspections of the work area.
- Monitors/maintain load-out area and operates mobile equipment as needed.
- Assist with maintenance on the plant, including repairs, preventive items.
- Always ensures a safe work environment for self and others.
- Assist with training of co-workers as needed.
- Collaborative with Team members.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required.
- 1 + years of related experience
- Valid US Driver's License
- Strong organizational skills, including planning, scheduling, prioritizing, and record-keeping.
- Able to adhere to MSHA & OSHA guidelines and Company Safety rules and regulations.
- Be willing to take an active role in the plant safety initiatives.
- Be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed.
- Willing to cross-train in different areas of production and general operations.
This role will be based out of the Yellow Medicine Quarry located in Granite Falls, MN.

- Mechanical Aptitude (welding, torch, fabrication) is a bonus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to feel, or handle objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position that regularly requires Monday – Friday as well as some weekend work. The average work week is 55 to 60 hours per week March to November.
