Lead Specialist, HR Compliance
Description
The HR Compliance Lead owns and advances the organization’s enterprise HR compliance program, spanning both regulated and non-regulated requirements, by driving governance, risk mitigation, and consistent execution across all divisions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and manage the compliance components of HR projects, providing structure, guidance, and coordination to drive process improvements and ensure consistent application of compliance standards (e.g., Background Check Vendor RFP and System Implementation, Drug and Alcohol Program enhancements).
- Lead HR compliance integration activities for mergers and acquisitions to drive alignment and mitigate risk.
- Own and maintain HR compliance process documentation, ensuring procedures are standardized, clear, and consistently applied.
- Oversee governance and review of HR policies and standards to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and enterprise practices.
- Collaborate with our HR Programs Administrators to develop, maintain, and deliver training, tools, and resources that enable consistent and effective compliance execution.
- Monitor evolving HR compliance requirements and assess enterprise impact partnering with Legal, HR management, and Safety leadership on interpretation, risk exposure, and recommended actions.
- Collaborate with HR Analysts to develop insights, metrics, and reporting that evaluate compliance performance, adoption trends, and execution gaps.
- Provide enterprise-level reporting and visibility to HR leadership on compliance effectiveness, risk exposure, and emerging issues to support informed decision-making and proactive risk mitigation.
- Manage change impacts associated with new or evolving compliance requirements, driving adoption and sustained execution.
- Oversee compliance-related vendors and HR systems from a risk perspective, ensuring effective performance, compliant implementation of enhancements, and proper validation of system updates (including Workday testing).
- Support audits, investigations, and remediation efforts by coordinating documentation, analysis, findings, and follow-up actions to ensure timely and effective resolution.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 8+ years related experience preferred
