Description

The position is heavily involved in developing analysis and processes that help support strategic planning and decision making in the division. A successful member of the division finance team collaborates cross-functionally with division leadership by delivering high-quality analytics and insights.
This position is in our East Division office located in Raleigh, NC and reports directly to the Vice President of Finance. 
Key Responsibilities: 
Finance, Accounting, and FP&A: 
  • Create and maintain analytic tools for financial, commercial, and operational KPIs, while lending technical expertise to other functional areas within the organization
  • Review financial results with team and division leadership, identifying trends and opportunities
  • Provide support and insight to monthly and quarterly financial reporting items as needed
  • Provide support to monthly close process as needed, analyzing results and collaborating with the Controller and finance team
  • Support the Division’s internal control environment in conjunction with the Controller as needed
  • Support financial planning and forecasting activities for the Division
  • Liaise with Corporate teams in development and implementation of new KPIs and performance management tools
Strategy, Acquisitions and Divestitures: 
  • Partner with the VP of Finance on acquisition and divestiture efforts within the division, including bolt-on Mandamp;A, land, and other strategic transactions
  • Support integration efforts on larger acquisitions/divestitures led by Corporate
  • Oversee and monitor SOAR initiatives across the Division and districts; drive performance and projects forward throughout the SOAR period
  • Work with Regional / District VPGMs on strategic initiatives, including acquisitions/divestitures, SOAR goals, KPI management and cost initiatives, special projects, etc.
  • Support Strategy Deployment and annual goal setting initiatives by monitoring performance against goals
Commercial: 
  • Develop regular reporting cadence and insights from PrecisIQ platform
  • Work closely with sales leaders to identify trends and opportunities
  • Build and develop commercial reporting capabilities within the Division in partnership with Corporate Strategic Finance team
  • Special projects and analysis for Division President and Corporate team related to commercial topics
Qualifications and Skills:  
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent experience
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or other relevant professional designation a plus
  • Three or more years' experience in accounting, finance, M&A, or similar experience
  • Proficiency with reporting platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, IBM Planning Analytics
  • Familiarity with data preparation tools and processes such as Alteryx, Tableau Prep Builder
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient computer skills (MS Suite primarily Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Willingness to travel to operating sites and other locations throughout the Division footprint as needed
