This position will be responsible for equipment servicing and repair planning. This position’s primary responsibilities will include the purchasing parts, tracking of maintenance, and completing repairs.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate to develop, implement, and provide oversite support for the maintenance and repairs of fixed and mobile equipment.
  • Ensure inventory for parts used in equipment repair and rebuild are purchased and available.
  • Expedite urgent requests for critical parts to keep production running.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with suppliers ensuring the sourcing of parts and fulfillment of orders.
  • Communicate the arrival of parts and order status with managers and suppliers.
  • Reconcile credit card purchases and purchase orders timely.
  • Follow up on quotes and lead times for orders.
  • Assist the location managers in implementing and administration of preventive maintenance program and work order system.
  • Coordinate activities from inception to implementation.
  • Assist plant management and engineers in optimization programs for plant processing equipment.
  • Assist in the development of equipment inspection procedures to ensure that proper actions are being taken to maximize equipment uptime and to keep the equipment in good working condition.
  • Implement and maintain new pro-active equipment testing procedures to predict future maintenance requirements and timelines for work order completion.
  • Responsible for tracking and measuring the efficiency of PM and major maintenance efforts.
  • Collaboration with site management for optimized re-order points, critical spare parts availability, and ongoing maintenance of existing spare parts lists. PO issuance for stock components.
  • Review all existing master job procedures on a regular basis and ensure accuracy.

Work Environment:
This job operates 100% of the time in mining locations to include quarries, mines and remote offices.  About 50% of the time will be in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copiers.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position.
Travel: Travel will be occasional and primarily within the district. Out-of-area and overnight travel is not frequent.
 
Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum of one years of experience working with gas and diesel engines.
  • Minimum of one years of experience sourcing and ordering maintenance parts.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of reliability centered maintenance principles.
  • Previous experience planning, managing resources and people management.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including written and oral communications.
  • Proven leadership and team building skills for creating employee ownership of safety, quality, and production.
  • Time management skills; ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
  • Highly skilled in use of Microsoft Project, Excel, Power Point and other productivity tools
