Job Description
Martin Marietta is seeking a Parts Person for our Maple Grove Maintenance Facility location that will report to the Distribution Manager. The duties will include all functions that relate to parts delivery, shipping, receiving, warehouse functions, facility maintenance, grounds maintenance, shop support, and field support.
Essential Functions
- Delivery and pickup of parts locally
- Pull orders for shop jobs and field operations
- Load and unload motor freight trucks, flatbed trailers, and containers using large and small forklifts.
- Receive/check-in parts and supplies for inventory, shop jobs, field operations, and maintenance
- General housekeeping of work area and warehouse
- Prepare items for shipment by motor freight and smaller FedEx/UPS ground and express
- Other Department, Facility, and business support as needed

Work Environment
The position reports to the Maintenance Facility in Maple Grove, but operates 90% of the time in field operations and vendor locations pickup up and delivering parts and supplies.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; use ladders; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, frequently lift or move 50 lbs., and constantly lift or move 20 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position that regularly requires long hours and weekend work.
Required Education and Experience
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Valid Commercial Driver’s license with a clean driving record
Class B CDL required at minimum; Class A CDL preferred
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Basic computer skills
- Must be willing to travel locally
- Ability to operator large and small forklifts
- Load securement knowledge a plus
