WELDER MECHANIC - $26.33 to $29.92 Starting Wage, 15 Days Paid Time Off, Benefits on Day 1

 

MARTIN MARIETTA MAGNESIA SPECIALTIES, LLC, Manistee Plant, is seeking  candidates for a Welder Mechanic position.  Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant processing, conveying, and packaging equipment and related facilities.  This will include:

  • Using mechanics tools, welding equipment, cutting tools, measurement and alignment tools, and material handling equipment to effectively repair equipment
  • Performing preventive maintenance routines to ensure proper operation of equipment, including lubrication
  • Works around moving equipment, using heavy equipment and tools
  • Transporting and maneuvering heavy components and machinery, using appropriate equipment and rigging techniques
  • Entering and retrieving data as required
  • Observing all safety rules, and maintaining good housekeeping in work areas and assigned locations
  • The above duties shall not be construed as a description of all the work requirements inherent in this job.  Incumbents in this classification may be required to perform other assignments of a complexity equal to or less than those described above.
  • Must pass a written NOCTI C Welder Mechanic written test, flat/horizontal welding practical test and WorkKeys.

 

Qualified candidate criteria: Minimum 18 yrs. of age, high school graduate, able to lift 55 lbs., work rotating shifts, and be capable of moving into positions with decision-making responsibility.  Looking for a team player that possesses strong work ethic, solid integrity, and reliability.  Must pass pre-employment physical, drug test, and background check.  Progressive wage increases, as well as a competitive benefits package, including 401k and pension.  Apply online at www.martinmarietta.com/careers. Salary Posting:

We are excited to share the base range for this position is $XX.XX-$XX.XX, exclusive of benefits or bonuses (discretionary and non-discretionary). The offered base hourly compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, business need, market conditions, proficiencies, skills, education, and experience. Additionally, at Martin Marietta we place a high value on internal pay equity and will consider the compensation for those in similarly situated roles and direct team members. The posted range for this role represents the total reasonable pay range and does not solely represent a hiring range. Therefore, hiring at the top or maximum of the range should not be expected as it would not allow for salary growth opportunities in the role, would diminish promotion value, and may not align with internal equity.
