Specialist, Cash Application

Summary:
This position is located at our corporate office in Raleigh, NC, and reports to the Cash Application Manager. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and possesses a strong sense of urgency, thriving in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This individual must be able to identify and resolve problems both independently and as a part of a team. Effective verbal and written communication skills, with strong organizational and time management ability.andnbsp;
Responsibilities:
- The Cash Application Specialist is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate application of customer payments across multiple payment methods while maintaining clean and current accounts receivable records.
- Independently research, resolve, and manage payments and remittance discrepancies.
- Work closely with the credit team to resolve payment discrepancies.
- Process customer refunds as needed.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Participate in month-end and quarter-end activities including supporting audit requests.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience within Accounts Receivable / Reconciliations.
- Undergraduate degree in accounting or equivalent work experience.
- Proficient in using the Microsoft Office suite with advanced Excel knowledge.
- Knowledge of JD Edwards Accounts Receivable (or similar large ERP system) preferred.
- Knowledge of High Radius cloud-based solutions preferred.
- Self-starter who can work independently and as a part of a team with minimal supervision.
