Description

The Logistics Associate will be the main point of contact for key logistics accounts or new business. They will assist in walking our clients through set-up, proactively engage in planning and execution with the local branches and closely monitor the implementation to ensure an efficient and successful start to new or key accounts. This position will be dedicated to our Logistics clients and will provide true end to end project management and oversight.
Main Duties and Responsibilities 
  
  • The Logistics Associate will work closely with our Commercial team to ensure proper support and/or guidance for clients to ensure all critical information is gathered at the onset of the award. They will work closely with our local Import/Export Team, Quality Assurance, and their respective Branch to make sure all is set up successfully.
  • Will work in cooperation with the assigned Commercial and Customer Services Agent to grow the business by providing superior customer service.
  • Create with the help of other relevant functional groups an applicable instruction sheet or Client Operating Procedure to ensure aspects of the work are known to all and that each job is done in a consistent and precise manner. These procedures will be used to train all parties involved in the launch and daily execution of jobs.
  • Create and edit Maestro Booking Templates.
  • Will be responsible for providing the applicable branches forecasting on volumes and dates of operations. This will include the Implementation working with the Dispatch Team to ensure proper packaging is in place and to ensure all eyes are on the initial shipments, special requests, or spikes in volume.
  • Will communicate heavily with the client during the implementation period, give regular updates on activities and shipments statuses while ensuring they are comfortable with the process throughout each step. This may include managing standing meetings with all parties and regions involved.
  • Will be coordinate in managing business reviews along with the Customer Service Manager, Administration Manager and assist in generating KPI’s and reporting.
  • Will hand the study over to the Customer Services Team with well-defined processes and procedures, while providing future incremental quality checks to ensure procedures are being followed correctly.
 
  Requirements: 
  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years’ experience in Project Management
  • Experience of Courier or Freight Industry
  • Understanding of Aviation and Airline networks
  • Familiarity with Customs procedures
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence others.
  • Excellent problem solving and prioritization skills essential. 
  • Excellent teamwork skills. 
  • Flexibility in working hours required, some weekend work may be required.
  • Intermediate level experience in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word and Outlook)
