Job Title: Part-time MiLB Performance Dietitian
Department: Baseball Operations - High PerformanceReports to: Major League Performance Dietitian
Status: Hourly
Primary Objective: The Part-time Performance Dietitian will work as part of a multi-disciplinary High-Performance team and is responsible for assisting the Head of Performance Nutrition with the nutrition and hydration needs of the Seattle Mariners Organization.
Essential Functions:
- Consult with athletes providing guidance on nutritional and hydration interventions.
- Create and present nutrition, hydration, and supplementation classes and content for Minor League Baseball (MiLB) players including newly-drafted athletes.
- Work with the High Performance staff to set body weight and composition targets for each athlete.
- Develop periodized meal plans and provide modifications to diet as needed for athletes.
- Review and assist in developing menus for home and away games.
- Oversee the selection of all dietary supplements in collaboration with performance coaches.
- Collaborate with High Performance and Player Development in the development of all player plans.
- Consult with all stake holders within the High Performance department in developing recommendations for physical, nutritional, and hydration related medical and/or performance related adjustments.
- Collaborate with Athletic Training, Rehabilitation, Mental Skills, Performance Coaches, and Sports Science in the implementation of nutritional return-to-play plans.
- Research and provide recommendations for advanced technologies related to nutrition and hydration in the High Performance domain.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Required
- A minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience
- Current licenses and certifications - Registered Dietitian (RD)
Preferred
- Master’s degree in Nutrition/Dietetics
- Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD)
- Culinary Dietetics Experience Preferred
- Experience in a professional or high-level athletic setting

Physical Activities and Working Conditions Necessary to Perform Essential Functions:
- Position may require individual to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Position may require non-traditional work hours (evening & weekends).
- This position is based out of Peoria, Arizona.
