Job Title:Coordinator, Employee Experience

Department:People & Culture

Reports to:Manager, Employee Experience

Status:Non-exempt

 

Primary Objective: 

Responsible for planning and executing employee events and supporting the day-to-day operations of the People & Culture team. The Coordinator, Employee Experience, will support efforts and special projects that ensure an exceptional employee experience for Mariners Front Office and Event Staff team members. The ideal candidate should have experience in event management or stadium operations, be organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent customer service skills.

 

Essential Functions:

 

Event Planning & Execution:

  • Plan employee events for Mariners Front Office and Event Staff team members. Events include the annual holiday party, end-of-season appreciation gatherings, anniversary parties, retirement celebrations, potential Postseason activations, and more.
  • Oversee event execution by coordinating vendors, managing deliveries, and enforcing setup deadlines.
  • Serve as a liaison to Ballpark Operations and other internal stakeholders to ensure employee events have the support they need to be successful.
  • Create and manage RSVP links and follow-up surveys to evaluation the effectiveness of events.

 

Project & Change Management:

  • Support the development and implementation of change management strategies for new in-office employee programs. Help engage stakeholders, manage resistance, and facilitate the successful adoption of new processes and initiatives.
  • Effectively partner with Event Staff Management to build positive employee outcomes by establishing and maintaining connections with leaders and all team members. Helps shape an exceptional work environment by staying abreast of current trends and proactively anticipating impending employee concerns or needs.
  • Implement and utilize project management tools to ensure seamless planning for employee events and activations

 

Day-to-Day Operations:

  • Assist in the day-to-day operations of the employee experience team, including managing in-office programs.
  • Oversee employee snack and lunchroom programs.
  • Support the distribution of promotional items and end-of-year gifts for both Mariners Front Office employees and Mariners Event Staff.
  • Assist with internal communications including drafting and designing event calendars, employee announcements, and more.
  • Create follow-up surveys to measure the efficacy of events.
  • Support gameday requests, including, but not limited to Event Staff events, giveaways, and potential Postseason activations.
  • Will perform other duties as assigned.

 

 

Education and Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years of prior ballpark or stadium operations, event management or human resources experience required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, communications, or related field required. Equivalent, relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education requirements, if approved by management
  • Intern or prior work experience with a professional sports team preferred but not required.

 

Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA’s):

 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Proficient in Canva (preferred but not required)
  • Experience with project management tools such as Smartsheet or Asana.

Physical Activities and Working Conditions:

 

  • Remaining in a stationary position, often sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. (Computer, keyboard, mouse, and telephone, performing clerical functions)
  • Accessing office and work areas
  • Must be able to access assigned locations in T-Mobile Park, including navigating concrete stairwells, ramps, and concourses.
  • Must be able to move up to 40 lbs.
