Primary Objective: Responsible for the successful management and execution of all non-baseball events at T-Mobile Park, ensuring safe, efficient, and exceptional experiences for clients, guests and team members. Additionally, this position works closely with the Ballpark Operations team to support the successful management of game day events, as needed.
Essential Functions:
- Manage, train, evaluate, and foster growth of Team Members, encouraging personal and professional development.
- Lead and Execute non-baseball events in coordination with operations, support staff and any relevant departments and stakeholders.
- Work closely with Coordinator, Ballpark Operations and Manager, Conversion to deploy the Ballpark Event Operations Crew efficiently, and identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve operational effectiveness.
- Partner with Event Sales department to provide guidance on operational planning and costs for self-promoted and facility rental events
- Evaluate, improve and enhance intradepartmental communications, including event sheets, event meetings and other information sharing tools.
- Manage event execution from confirmation to completion, and serve as central point of communication for both the client and all internal departments. This includes advancing all details, coordinating vendors, managing deliveries, and enforcing timelines.
- Serve as a client liaison through event planning process; provide excellent customer service, quick thinking and problem solving.
- Meet with ballpark clients to assist in determining event needs and identify any concerns, and offer creative solutions. This includes conducting facility site visits.
- Prepare comprehensive written documentation for each event including floor plans and code compliance.
- Coordinate with the Event Sales department to control and reduce event costs and operate within approved budgets.
Coordinate with department heads and scheduling coordinators to generate timely schedules for staff
- Communicate all pertinent event details and department requests in a timely and efficient manner.
- Serve as Ballpark representative at events; enforces T-Mobile Park practices and procedures throughout each event.
- Lead with a positive attitude and demonstrate commitment to all Team Members. Manage and teach the operation while holding all Team Members accountable for delivering the Mariners Way to guests and to each other.
- Follow all organizational labor guidelines and human resources policies and regulations and monitor for compliance.
- Support and champion all programs and initiatives of the Mariners Way and maintain a culture where Team Members strive to create Exceptional Experiences for all guests.
- Act as Front Office liaison with other departments to maintain channels of communication and distribution of information for all aspects of non-baseball events.
- Troubleshoot quickly and efficiently to solve Team Member and guest issues.
- Will perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in sport management, business administration or related field required. Equivalent, relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education, if approved by management.
- A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in event management or a related field required. A minimum of three (3) years in a management capacity leading large-scale, complex events with direct reports is preferred.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office required. Able to learn new software programs and systems.
- Experience leading events in a sport facility preferred.
- Experience with Social Tables preferred.

Physical Activities and Working Conditions:
- Must be able and willing to work irregular hours, including weekends, holidays, games, and special events, including prior to opening of facility to the public and/or through closing of the facility.
- Must be able to access all locations in T-Mobile Park including navigating concrete stairwells, ramps and concourses.
- Outdoor work environment, subject to fluctuation in temperatures, exposure to the sun and elements.
- Must stand and/or walk on concrete surfaces including stairs at a moderate or fast pace for duration of an event.
- Must have functional near and far vision.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. (Computer, keyboard, mouse and telephone, performing clerical functions)

The anticipated starting salary range for this role is $75,000-$85,000 annually.
