Job Title: Affiliate Development Intern

Department: Player Development

Reports toCoordinator, Player Development and Major League Video Coordinator

Status: Part-Time, Nonexempt

Date: Must be available to start by March 1, 2021

**This position will report to one of 4 locations: Tacoma, WA. Arkansas, Modesto, CA.  Everett, WA.**

 

Primary Objective:  Support the Seattle Mariners video department in capturing and distributing video and coordinating the use of performance science equipment. In addition, provide creative storyboards, animations, video content and digital projects to the Player Development Department to expand teaching methods.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Capture, tag and upload video for assigned Minor League Affiliate using Bats software for all games
  • Coordinate use of performance science equipment (Rapsodo, Edgertronic, Blast, etc.)
  • Collaborate with affiliate TrackMan intern to ensure timely data collection and upload process
  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of advance scouting reports

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred
  • Experience with design software tools, such as After Effects, Premier, Photoshop and Illustrator is strongly preferred
  • Experience with Bats software, Dropbox, TrackMan, Rapsodo and Edgertronic is preferred
  • Spanish speaking skills a plus

Physical Activities and Working Conditions:

  • Required to live in assigned affiliate city during the season
  • Required to travel on all road trips with assigned affiliate
  • Must be willing to work all affiliate games and practices, including nights and weekends
