Job Title:Manager, Safety
Department:Ballpark Operations, Facilities
Reports To:Sr. Director, Facilities
Status:Exempt
Primary Objective: Responsible for overseeing facility, workplace, and occupational health and safety programs with the objective of ensuring a safe facility, mitigating risk and liability, and promoting a culture of safety within the organization. Oversees the investigation, assessment, determination, and mitigation of identified issues. Ensures the workplace is operating in compliance with Federal, State, and municipal requirements. Partners with all department leaders as needed to address facility health and safety concerns.
Essential Functions:
- Oversees workplace safety programs, including maintaining, updating, and ensuring Accident Prevention Plan (APP) compliance with regulatory requirements and guidelines. Communicates occupational risk issues and identifies plans to minimize risk.
- Assists with development of Life Safety Plan.
- Manages Life Safety Equipment at T-Mobile Park (AED, First Aid Kits, Bleed Control Cabinets and Eye Wash Stations).
- Ensures contractor safety compliance, including without limitation obtaining and reviewing on-site safety plans, completing weekly site safety walks, overseeing hot work management, observation, and correction of any unsafe practices or acts by third-party vendors.
- Ensures regulatory compliance for facility operations at T-Mobile Park. This will include fire protection systems, hazardous material reporting, and elevator/escalator compliance.
- Proactively identifies potential safety concerns in and around T-Mobile Park and collaborates to ensure they are addressed.
- Oversees comprehensive training program for matters requiring recurring certifications and compliance.
- Oversee the management of chemicals requiring Safety Data Sheet tracking and inventory accuracy.
- Assists in the scheduling of audits, annual inspections, and certification for a variety of building systems.
- Supports the prevention and awareness of occupational injuries, collaborating with the Manager, Risk and Leave Management on employee injuries, including return-to work programs.
- Serves as needed as Club representative for liability insurance programs, audits, and compliance.
- Provides support, as needed, to attorneys, insurance companies and individuals.
- Investigates and/or directs the investigation of incidents that may result in asset damage or personal injury.
- Performs post-accident investigation and analysis and discusses accident reports with Safety Committee for review and evaluation. Provides support, education, and training to staff to build risk awareness.
- Interpret facts and apply evaluative tools for the continual reduction of known and discovered risks in the workplace.
- Leads the Safety Committee.
- Will perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in safety-related field preferred, or the equivalent amount of experience and education is required.
- Must possess a current certification as a safety professional or be eligible for the pursuit of certification.
- A minimum of three (3) years of related work experience in safety supervision and oversite of workplace safety programs required.
- Experience and familiarity with Federal, State, and local governance on issues of workplace safety required.

The anticipated salary for this role is $90,000-$115,000 annually.
