 Job Title:Assistant Coordinator, Player Development

Department:Player Development

Reports To: Coordinator, Player Development and Director, Player Development

Status: Exempt

Primary Objective: Responsible for providing support and assistance to all things relating to minor league operations.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Assist in manage the day-to-day minor league operations, including budgets, expenses, administration, roster management, transactions, rules, communication, and schedules.
  • Assist in overseeing the affiliate level budget lines, and, responsible for presenting in annual budget meetings.
  • Assist in managing all minor league player/team related travel while collaborating with Coordinator, Player development on major league promotions of players.
  • Assist in being the point of contact for all winter league activity, including managing relationships, and submitting and tracking permission requests on individual players.
  • Assist in managing daily transactions for all minor league rosters, placements, assignments, and releases.
  • Assist in serving as primary contact for all minor league affiliate needs and requests by maintaining correspondence and relationships.
  • Manage and maintain relationships and agreements with third party vendors, including assisting in negotiating new contracts and ensuring monthly invoices meet budget forecasts.
  • Assist in designing, creating and implement the Focus Points book and Peak Performance manual.
  • Will perform other duties as assigned.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Equivalent, relevant experience will be considered in lieu of formal education requirements if approved by management.
  • One (1) year relevant experience required.
  • Basic Spanish proficiency is preferred
