Senior Account Manager

Under general supervision, manage all current and future business with customers. Aggressively pursue new opportunities to increase sales and increase profitability as well as provide sales support and maintain customer satisfaction. Functions as a manager of a unit; responsible for hiring, terminating and appraising employee performance. This position will report to Sales Management. 


1. Coordinate all marketing activities related to new business opportunities (i.e. initiate RFQ’s, coordinate cost details & feasibility, quotation submission, lead/quote follow-up, price negotiation with customer, etc.) and develop customer relationships and key contacts.

2. Provide sales support for all current business including, but not limited to customer contact (phone & face to face), quality & delivery issues, pricing review, annual cost-down negotiation, etc.

3. Plant Support: provide internal support with accurate customer data, acting as liaison between our internal responsibilities, and customer requirements.

4. Forecasting/Budgeting (Business Plan): Provide upper management with customer related data, as well as operating expense information in order to help develop a future business plan for the companies’ expectations.

5. Communicates frequently with internal and external contacts on various issues.

6. Attend internal meetings (manager meeting, sales meeting, catalogue, CMS, etc).

7. Communicate between CKNA and customer.

8. Invoice request to CKNA Account Department and follow account receivable.

9. Performs other duties as necessary.


• Prior working experience with Ford, GM, or FCA.

• Have a Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline and generally three to five plus years experience in related field
• An advanced degree and generally four plus years experience in related field.

• Certification or license required in some areas.

• Ability to read and interpret part drawings.

• Ability to analyze and interpret cost data.

• Availability to travel as required.

• Prepare presentation materials and present to senior management as required.

• Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
