General Summary:

Under general supervision, responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance methods and statistical techniques, in accordance with company policy, to ensure the product meets or exceeds customer expectations. Responsible for supporting Nissan Field Quality Engineers with improving customer satisfaction by reducing the number of warranty claims related to Marelli product. Work with Engineering groups to obtain customer approval for changes to current product by addressing concerns related to warranty quality issues seen in the field to reduce the defect rate. Support all Nissan FQI and Warranty PQE special activities including warranty In-Car Part reviews, Special Task Force Investigations, scramble requests, port modifications, etc.  Analyze warranty claim data to identify top warranty concerns and confirm any gaps in countermeasure coverage and effectiveness.  Place gap parts on return from the field to begin proactive Field Investigation Report with appropriate Mfg. plant or Supplier.  Communicate open customer warranty Corrective Action Reports to the responsible Manufacturing or Design Engineering groups and track countermeasure development to meet expected customer timing. Identify and dispute warranty claims that are not Marelli responsibility by submitting the appropriate customer documents for liability change or claim removal. Support BU warranty improvement meetings and activities. Communicate frequently with external and internal contacts on any warranty related issues. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

Have a high school diploma or GED

Have a Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline and generally four (4) to seven (7) years experience in related field – or- A Master’s Degree and three (3) to six (6) years experience in related field.
