Sr. Product Development Engineer within the USA GTS BL R&D Department.


 Responsibilities in development include:

  •  After-treatment and Cold end system development for gasoline, diesel and hybrid applications.
  • Cross functional development across Engineering, CAE, Testing, Design and Manufacturing teams
  • Customer lead technical interface on forward model programs.
  • Development lead in business pursuit initiatives and RFQ response
  • Support validation group in developing test methods and parameters, processing and reviewing data, CAE correlation.
  • Support program team with prototyping, testing/reporting, customer APQP & PPAP reviews
  • Responsible for design and development of automotive exhaust systems (after-treatment and silencing systems) from concept thru design validation test completion.
  • Lead agile product development team in design, virtual platform and testing – target speed and efficiency to meet customer expectations, create and maintain continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Responsible for resource & workload planning; direct workforce development; identify new tools & systems; establish career paths, development & succession plans
  • Lead technical innovation thru research of new technology and benchmarking of exhaust system technology globally – implement and deliver new product introduction initiatives.
  • Provide resource support to Project teams with prototype, testing & reporting, customer APQP & PPAP reviews

 Involvement in research efforts including power generation and light weighting technologies.

• Education:
- MS Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience:
- 8+ years of experience is preferred
• Skills:
 Product Design & Release Experience
 Strong organizational skills
 Excellent oral and written communication skills;
 Proficiency in GT Power, MSC Nastran, Ncode, Star CCM+, Simulink
 Competency in NVH analysis tools and techniques
 Experienced in data acquisition and physical testing methods
 Microcontroller circuit design and application a plus
 Excellent oral and written communication skills;
 Ability to work on different projects on the same time;
 Ability to work both independently and as a team member within a project environment with short-term concrete deliverables
