The Opportunity / Who We Seek

We are looking for an accomplished Risk Analyst to join our team as part of our financial services business in the Cayman Islands.

 

The Risk Analyst is responsible for vendor risk management, governance risk compliance, client assurance due diligence processes, and participating in numerous assessments of the operating effectiveness of IT general controls related to Cyber Security.

As part of our Cayman team you will:

 

  • Maintain meaningful metrics to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of the security programmes and policies and to identify areas of improvement.
  • Conduct risk analysis and prepares risk management reports including operational risk, incident root cause analysis, and monitoring that all incidents are logged in enterprise risk management system.
  • Lead role supporting business development through responding to Maples client due diligence assessments of Maples information security posture.
  • Maintain and improve Maples vendor risk management program by liaising with key business owners, vendors, service providers and staff in all locations across the group as required.
  • Fully participate in Governance Risk Compliance ('GRC") designing, implementing and maintaining risk frameworks controls, attestations, and the group risk register
  • The role will include all aspects of cyber security including access control, application and development, risk management, change management, logical access, operational security, incident response, business continuity, operational and physical security of systems, as well as ongoing reporting requirements.
  • Through your passion for leading and supporting business process re-engineering and business transformation, you will foster and develop strong networks (local, region, global) with key service champions in the global firm.

 

What You Bring

In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:

 

  • Bachelors in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting or Risk Management, or a minimum of 1 qualification in the field of Information Security. CISA/CISSP/CISM/CRISC or CEH qualification is desired.
  • Should have 3 to 5 years’ experience in a Risk advisory, Information Security role, including experience with operationalising risk processes.
  • Experience in Financial Services preferred and should include security education, risk analysis and documentation of processes.
  • Basic knowledge of information security standards (e.g., ISO 27001/27002, SoC, etc.), rules and regulations related to information security and data and desktop, server, application, database, network security principles for risk identification and analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to self-manage and consistently produce high standards of work on schedule in a pressured environment and whilst dealing with competing priorities.
  • Previous big 4 consulting experience is desired.
  • Key skills required for this role include current and demonstrable risk management acumen with experience covering all information security domains, working effectively and collaboratively across multiple jurisdictions, strong business risk awareness, and the ability to assess and articulate risk to both technical professionals and business audiences.
